Shambles. Nothing much on shelves. The powers that be keep moving eveyrhing around so you spend your shopping exoerience walking back and forth, negotiating the many green trays on wheels that are scattered about. How a member of the public hasn't had an accident must be a miracle. I actually feared for a visually impaired man that was trying to negotiate his way around the store.nnSo, having only got half the intended shop, I made my way to the tills with 3 shopping bags worth of goods, to find only the self service tills were working. At this point I left the trolley at the checkout as my time was up on the car park and, to be frank, I had lost the will to carry on.nnIn summary, lack of stock, lack of staff and a woeful customer care attitude generally. My experience is that there are 4 members of staff that are very helpful only 1 of which was in the store today. Not prepared to name them though as it would likely be detrimental for them given the apparent uncaring ethos of this store.nnSuch a shame as I have shopped in this store since it's inception and have watched it going downhill for a while now. I have resisted giving a review previously as I only generally give good reviews on businesses but enough is enough!
Rayleigh MnS self checkouts: useless, irritating, badly designed. Are you trying to put customers off shopping with you? If you are, it’s working.
What to expect from marks and Spencer's clean tidy good quality products and layout of the shop the staff very professional one of the best bits was no loud music so you can't hear yourself think unlike some other retailers
This M & S is open until 9 oclock and has a great selection and really good prices. It surprises me how good M &S is every time I go in. I brought this wind up metal Christmas tree that plays jingle bells for only 5 pounds.
Came during a weekday evening. Not crowded and lots of fresh food!!
