Great communications via text and email. Was informed bike was ready for collection before the chosen date. So I speculatively turned up at the store a day early to see if I could collect and the chap at the bike desk had no problems in getting the bike for me. What great service!! Can't fault Halfords. From start to finish, the team were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely knowledgeable. Called into Halfords at Newhaven after leaving the ferry with a low tyre pressure warning light. The team checked the tyre thoroughly there and then, put the right pressure in, and reset the warning. All without charge or appointment. Excellent service from an incredible friendly team. We left the garage with a four hour journey in front of us with confidence that we did not have a puncture. Many thanks Halfords at Newhaven.
I booked a 3pm 10 point service which I was told would take about 25 minutes.nUpon returning at 3.30 having heard nothing I was told that it hadn't been done by the person who was supposed to have carried it out.nI was told that it would be done straight away and that I would be contacted upon completion.nHaving heard nothing by 4.15 I returned to be told that it had been done, though nobody had bothered to let me know. Very poor service in my opinion.
If you like that quiet almost totally abandoned feeling, devoid of staff harassing you as you browse the merchandise aimlessly looking for that widget you went in for, this is the shop for you.nnIt's a typical Halfords with a good stock of bikes, accessories and car batteries along with a selection of tools, Satnav, car audio and car cleaning bits and bobs.nnStaff on the checkout were in good spirits and were friendly and helpful.
