Been shopping here for the last 6 years and can say all in all its not been too bad. Usually well stocked and a wide variety of products.nnSometimes they’re understaffed. It seems everyone goes on their lunch or break at the same time. During busy periods it would make sense to try and run efficiently. Google have a live feature of how busy it is but it seems Sainsburys don’t have a clue at times. I hope they will work towards improving.nnThe fuel is apparently the cheapest in Sussex and you can get super unleaded for a reasonable price.nnI’ve always liked the security guards at this place. They are always busy helping Sainsbury’s stay tidy and organised. As a business owner myself I appreciate hardworking people.nnThe public mainly older people find it hard on their eyes watching me do my shopping here but they are mainly from Seaford and it is Newhaven.nnNot too shabby but areas to improve. It’s nice to see the cafe open and also nice to see some new products/isles coming in.nnPicture is of points accumulated over the last 6 years.
Just been shopping and there are 2 people serving us- can’t believe it. We spend so much money every week!!! And we have to wait for ages because it’s only 2 people on the till and 5 people waiting behind!!! We forgot about older people and principal!!! Pure greed to expect people to check out ourselves! If I could give -* I would!!! What is the word coming to? Our government is at fault, not taking care of our people
Huge shopping store with a large selection to choose from open late for anyone that prefers to shop after work! Very Friendly and helpful staff, plus it's very clean and has a outside if you need to withdraw cash. I give this store a 5 star review nInside is Argos & Habitat aswell.nDisabled friendly and plenty of parking.
On our visit to newhaven Sainsbury's at 16:40 me and my fiancée were served at the Kiosk by a lovely guy called Ben. He was very chatty and super friendly, asked us about our day and also noticed our mum to be pack and spoke with us about our baby on the way.nnAs a manager of a luxury retail outlet I can appreciate good customer service and Ben really is excelling in that area, putting customers first and really did lift our spirits, what customer service is all about. We would love if this could be fed back to Ben and his manager.nnThanks Jordan & Chloe
Not everybody wants to use a self check-out! For example, some older folk may prefer to be served as do people buying alcohol. However, here at Sainsbury's in Newhaven only about four served checkout tills remain and when I visited the store only one was open with the resulting long queue. This was mid-week, mid-afternoon. I don't feel that this is acceptable. There is a Lidls store very close by with served checkouts.
