After looking at the website for a new stereo and digital rear view mirror, I thought I’d comment store and check them out properly. So let down by the displays. You can’t test anything properly, things aren’t switched on or plugged in, and tbh it just looks a mess.nnI’ve got money to spend but tbh I’ll go elsewhere where I can test things before I buy.nnPlus zero staff around to approach me and help me out

They fitted two new lightbulbs on my Renault Clio—a job that’s definitely not the easiest—but handled it with real skill and a positive attitude.nTheir professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile made the whole visit smooth and stress‑free. Great service, great staff, and great value. I’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend this store to anyone needing car maintenance done properly.
I had a very poor experience at this Halfords branch and feel it’s important to warn other customers.nI bought a dashcam for over £650 and paid extra for professional installation. Almost immediately after fitting, both cameras stopped working. From that point on, the experience went from bad to worse.nI had to return to the shop seven times before the issue was finally resolved. Each visit resulted in no real progress, and the way staff handled the situation made it even more frustrating. At no point did anyone make an effort to reschedule appointments promptly, show any real concern, or even offer a basic apology for the inconvenience caused.nThe main problems were:nLack of product knowledge: Staff did not appear to understand the dashcam they were selling and fitting.nPoor customer service: I was repeatedly met with a dismissive “we can’t do anything” attitude and had to suggest solutions myself.nNo accountability: Several staff members did not wear name badges, making it impossible to know who was responsible for the work.nOut of frustration, I tried another nearby Halfords branch, but the service there was even worse.nBased on my experience, I strongly recommend not buying high-value items or installation services from Halfords. The poor workmanship and customer service are simply not worth the time, stress, or money. Significant improvements in staff training and customer care are clearly needed.
My nearest store although I've also used others for car servicing is a large Halfords. It's very well-stocked with both automotive and cycling products. The store is spacious and organized, making it easy to find what you need. As a driver and cycling enthusiast, I appreciate their wide range of products. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, which adds to the overall positive shopping experience.
Recently had my bike serviced here and would highly recommend. Everyone I dealt with was really helpful Anis, Tom and Remy. From the initial free bike assessment, booking in for a service able to accommodate last minute thankfully, and the service itself everything was done to a very high standard and the team also answered all my queries in a clear, easy to understand way. In a world where bike mechanics can sometimes be a bit rude or unfriendly this was very refreshing! Would bring my bike back for services in future.
