I have had a good experience from a very helpful and knowledgeable salesperson Anthony at guy salmon. We had made arrangements to have a range rover sport transported down to Portsmouth for me to view. This arrived and although I saw the outside of the vehicle I am awaiting to drive and view the interior. The price was a little high and little movement to help me out but was a potential sake for them, polite and helpful staff though. I rang on Monday to speak with a salesperson as I had found a better valued car with less miles else where but wanted to stay with guy salmon if they could come up with a more helpful deal. Was told the main sales manager was not available until Tuesday morning when he would call to discuss the potential sale of the £44,500 range rover sport and assist with my enquiry. How deflated and disappointed I felt when no one bothered to get back to me to discuss my needs and requirements, this has made me feel I am left to do the running around to buy a car rather than be sold one. Not what I expected from a prestige land rover dealer. No real respect to a customer shown on this occasion which surprises me but I am not chasing a dealer to sell me a car lots more opportunities out there. Paul Atkins

I have had an fantastic experience . The team are very welcoming and intuitive about your needs. Few minutes of wait and the manager came to talk to me and check whether I had been attended to . Anthony has been very helpful all along . Receptionist are also very courteous and helpful. Amazing team .

Went on a Saturday afternoon, kids in-tow. These types of dealership in my experience range from indifferent to arrogant attitudes from the show-room staff i.e. they are doing the buyer a favour even though we are giving them the best part of £60k! From the time we stepped into this dealership, it was nothing short of exemplary. The receptionist was genuinely friendly and made us feel at ease when we asked to look around a new LR Discovery. When we had a few questions, a sales executive appeared (I think his name was Simon), and even though I said upfront, that I would not be placing an order until later on in the year, he spent a significant amount of time with us. I have done a lot of research on the Discovery HSE prior to going to the dealership, so it was reassuring to hear 'Simon' not bluffing and offering some good advice e.g. pros/cons of buying the Service Pack and spec'in up a base model as opposed to going for a higher model. On Sunday, we went into another LR dealer, in Guildford. The difference was black and white. The Guildford dealership staff were far too busy to even answer a simple question like 'what is the colour on that LR Discovery outside (by the window)'. In summary, the LR dealership in Portsmouth is very welcoming, but most importantly, I believe honest.
