Was a bit disappointed really, had high expectations. It's right on the Albert Dock, nicely set up, looked a lovely place to eat and drink, decor and atmosphere was very classy but chilled. We both had the Carbonara and expected it to be creamy but it was actually quite dry. The service was a poor really, we weren't asked how our meal was. It was quite some time before the plates were cleared and we weren't offered a dessert menu. We were just left sitting there! After some time thinking they will appear shortly with a menu, i ended up eventually catching a waiters eye I asked if we could see a menu. Ordered a cheesecake which was very nice. Again, left for a considerable time before clearing the plates. Then had to ask someone again for the bill. Was left waiting again to pay it, I went to the desk where we booked in and he said he would send someone across. This didn't happen and after trying to catch a waiters eye again, failed, I ended up approaching a till and service area and said that they take a payment now as I am leaving now. They then had to query with each other which waiter served me what!? I did not leave a tip as I thought the service was very poor. So overall nice place, drinks were ok, nice atmosphere and decor, poor service and not the best food I'm afraid.
Discovered this gem when other restaurants at Royal Albert Dock were closed, and it turned out to be the best surprise! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm giving it a full 5 stars and highly recommend it. I will definitely be coming back!Food: 5/5
Brilliant food in an excellent location. I'm away for work so dining solo and Ashton and the rest of the staff couldn't have been friendly or more welcoming. Ashton made excellent menu and wine recommendations and I'm thankful she did as everything was so delicious! Can't wait to return.Food: 5/5
Laura was the one that served us and did an amazing job. She was very kind to understand our situation and took the service charge off. I can’t fault her for anything. The only thing I would say is that food portions was a bit small.Food: 3/5
Located at the Liverpool Docks short walk from the Hilton. Very good Italian food. Great drinks. Great atmosphere and service. We really enjoyed our visit. Loved the desserts. Good to make a reservation. It gets busy.Food: 5/5
We were lucky to book an early evening table at short notice for three - the restaurant was already busy and a mix of families, friend groups and couples throughout made for a vibrant atmosphere. Our mains were Rigatoni Arrabbiata, Crab Fettuccine and the Vegan Flank Steak. All were perfectly cooked and served *chef’s kiss*. We couldn’t decide which wine to order so our waiter brought some over to sample. Staff have sommelier training and the shared knowledge was appreciated. Deserts and cocktails rounded off the evening perfectly. I have to mention Alfie who has that knack of making us feel like we were the only people in the very busy room. Much appreciated. We found Gusto to be a friendly, cosmopolitan restaurant serving excellent Italian cuisine.
Out for a celebratory meal with my friend from Uni. Had a wonderful and lovely server names Laura. Extremely attentive and was so nice and smiley, really made our nightFood: 5/5
Firstly wanted to say how lovely Laura was, she looked after us, very helpful especially with trying to recommend meals for the kids..very pleasant and a credit the company. Food was gorgeous, the setting was lovely and service was fantastic. 10/10 Parking: We used the paid parking which was located a couple hundred metres away Kid-friendliness: The staff made the kids feel very welcome,
One of the best Italian places in Liverpool. The view is scenic and classic on the Royal Albert dock. At night with lights the place looks awesome. The food is really good. Closest to authentic Italian. The chef and all staff are very welcoming and friendly. Especially Laura, she was very sweet and helpful. She made me feel comfortable. I really enjoyed my time here. Must visit. Dietary restrictions: They will cater your dietary preference. Wheelchair accessibility: It has wheelchair accessible entrance and washroom.
Sorry, but sometimes you need to know. Scallops were cold. I felt like I as judging on master chef as they eat the food cold. A real shame for the price. Atmosphere was very noise. A little pit off paying £42 service charge for a table with high stools and next to the pizza making area. All night we could smell the pizzas as well hearing the orders as to what was been made next! Also some the servers looked like they did not want to be at work! Did I feel I got value for money? I be honest no. I paid the same for better food and and service. If I am expected to pay that type of money I expect people who want to ensure me and the family have the best service!
