I used this for the first time on Saturday, I'm somebody who since I learned to drive I have never really been on a bus or train. So I get nervous trying things like this, it was so so easy I followed Google here from lincolnshire, got parked up and within a few mins I was sat on the bus on my way into the town center. The bus dropped me In front of a Primark which is part of a outside shopping center called Coopergate, and I got the bus back from the same place, they go around every ten mins or so. They are still wearing face masks on Buses which is a good thing. £3.30 return for one adult and free parking.
The staff on the bus were lovely and the journey time was perfect. The gents toilets were disgusting and according to my friend so was the ladies. I lived in York for 28 years and I wasn’t sure of the journey to Parliament Street from Grimston Bar it would have helped if I could have seen out of the window .The price was good in relation to parking charges .this was at 9.30 a.m on a Tuesday.
Really easy to find, lots of spaces available and very friendly staff. Easy to pay and regular buses to the centre. Couldn't fault the service. Clean and tidy toilets and lots of trees and plants surrounding the area. Would recommend.
It's definitely the way forward. Easy parking and a very reasonable price for a return ticket into the city. Plenty of stops. Waited about 5 minutes to get the bus in and walked straight onto one coming out. Very impressive. I certainly wouldn't bother trying to get the car parked for that price.
Parked here to visit York Uni. You can get a bus from here which drops you nearer but not far at all. Toilets on-site and a friendly and helpful attendant. Plenty of spaces on a weekday, can't comment about the weekend
Very friendly man greeting at the bus stop who helped me with my ticket. Bus was ready to leave but he ensured lady driver reopened doors to allow me and several stragglers to get on.
Well organised and easy to access, and took the pain out of trying to drive my car into York and find a parking spot. There is also a very clean toilet block
No parking available anywhere in York, decided to give this a try, very good all in all, buses regular and probably works out cheaper than parking
Worth using Park & Ride for York to reduce the volume of traffic in this historic city and make it easier to get in and out. Each Park & Ride has a different route check the Park & Ride Website so you can choose either your nearest or the one that takes you nearer where you want to go. Frequency - every 10-15 minutes. Can be a little longer if traffic is heavy. Price various: Single and returns. Concession, small charge, your issued with a single ticket, keep it and show it to the driver on your return it acts as a return ticket, but you also need to tap your Concession card. Accessibility - good, plenty of parking for the disabled. Bus platform is level with the pavements. Spaces for wheelchair users rights and prams on the bus. Toilet for the disabled. Car Parking - free, plenty of spaces including parking for disabled. Check closure time as there is a hefty release fee £50 - early 2019! Tourist Guide and Map - at the Park & Ride and on the bus. Includes map of the City Center, the Park & Ride Routes, places to visit, shop and eat. Staff - always found the Bus drivers very friendly and helpful. Toilets - including for the disabled. Bus frequency good, so if you need to go!
Not long to wait for a bus to york city centre. £3.50 return ,I spent a few hours there wonder how much it would have cost me to park in york for a few hours, great service great value for money.
