The price is reasonable in such a convenience location. This car park is quite large, passing through the area A, there are area B and C which offer more parking space. You can pay by cash or pay by Ringo app. We use the Ringo app because we can extend the parking period if needed without walking back to the car park. But just like other reviews, the car park is not tidy and clean.
Nice area, not far from the York Minster and you can see the city wall from the front of car park. The price is cheapest in this area, £1.70 per hour. Don't forget to prepare coins. This car park is indoor and the door will close at 8pm. You have to plan for your visit to finish on expired time although you have to back there and renew the tickets
Bit of research showed this was reasonably priced for York and is only a 5-10 minute walk from town. Was surprised by the amount of available spaces, and they aren’t tiny, pillar scraper spaces either. You can use the Ringo app which makes life easy too. Worth the extra little walk.
Dingy underground parking at £1.47 per hour as of 02/03/2023 and there is no other option or reduced rate. If you're planning to park here all day and walk around York, it may be cheaper to park anywhere in the middle of town and get a parking ticket. Being underground, it's naturally used as a public urinal and smells accordingly.
Found easy to park, there were plenty spaces on my visit and a reasonable price, be aware you can park here till 8pm only Picture taken September 2022, so this is the current tariff
Plenty of spaces available when we arrived. Used app to pay - very easy to use & let's you extend your session if you need to add more time.
Easy to find. Expensive and the pay by phone experience is a joke. There were 3 other couples trying to pay by phone, and it worked for none of us. Luckily, I had coins on me, the others just left in frustration.
Narrow spaces as probably built when cars were smaller, parking price was 1.60 per hour, slightly cheaper than most car parks in York.
Drove in, slotted the wheels beautifully into a space. Left it there all day and it was still there when I got back. Fabulous. What more could you want from a car park. Reasonable price and close enough to town.
This is a convenient car park with plenty of capacity even on a weekend. It's handy using the Ring Go app and although you need to pre-select how many hours you want, the app lets you extend if needed. The rates by phone were cheaper than paying at the machine. £4.80 for 3 hours is cheaper than 2 x adults using P&R. The walk to the shops was about 5 minutes
