Pros: - Great atmosphere, wouldn’t be out of place in Tampa or Santa Monica - Lots of lighting - Amazing, sincere service - Clean - somebody takes pride in making sure things are neat and tidy - Spacious Cons - The food seems dated - The burger was average, unseasoned. If it was made from scratch there was very little to no seasoning on it, overpriced for what it was. - I don’t feel there was an adequate amount of toppings on the burger for the price - Thick cut fries are notoriously difficult to pull off and they sadly missed the mark. The fries were somewhat crispy on the outside but just tasted like a fire roasted potato on the inside. If they used the same technique and cut normal sized fries it would be fantastic I think if they brought in a food scientist or professional chef for a few months to modernize the menu this place could be amazing. Clearly people are willing to pay but they might not be willing to come back unless the food improves.
Updated July 2024 ******** It had been 5 years since the last time I was here, my bride and I wondering around the Canada Day downtown food trucks, all seamed ok, but nothing called to us like a nice cold beer and fresh made burger so we toddled in. Still a great spot, with delicious thick cut fries and well put together paddies'. I will be back again when we wonder back downtown. A classic burger and fries joint with cold beer and great service. These burgers have been going for over 30 years!
Went To This Restaurant For A First Time In A Long Time. And Probably My Last Time. 4 Of Us Went To Restaurant And Got 3 Chicken Finger Combos With Drinks, Only 2 Were Beer, The Other Just A Pop. It Was Well Over 100$ Bill. On The Menu It Looks Like It Says 16.99 For The Fries And Fingers Which Is Already Absurd For That. But I Guess Underneath The 16.99 Is 19.99 If You Want Fries With The Fingers. Wait Your Telling Me Your Charging Customers 16.99 For 3 Or 4 Chicken Fingers? Yes Inflation Has Gotten Crazy But There Comes A Time When Your Being Greedy And Acting Like A New Landlord Who Over Charges Rent. I Would More Understand This Also Coming From A Franchise Restaurant Rather Than A London Family Owned Restaurant. I Will Be Sticking To Fatty Patty's On Springbank Instead Of Here. It's Pathetic I Repeat 16.99 For 3-4 Chicken Fingers.
This is my second time eating at this place, and I have to say, it is quite good. The French onion soup is the best I have tasted in London so far. It doesn't feel as if the plate was blasted in the microwave. It was loaded with well caramelized onions. The cheese felt like the soup itself actually melted it. The classic burger was a pleasant surprise. Unlike chain restaurants like the works, this actually had the most home made feel to it. Though, in my opinion, could use a bit more salt. Otherwise an pretty good burger. Altogether, I would have rated this place a solid 3.5 out of 5.
This place is great! Very friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. They have local craft brews available, as well as the classics. It's a wonderful location, just across from both the Covent Garden Market and Budweiser Gardens, in the heart of London. Every time I stop by I always make sure to get an order of their bacon wrapped scallops as pictured and they are so So delicious! I love them so much I eat the kale garnish underneath because the bacon has dripped on to it. They do serve it with a lemon wedge and a sauce, my advise is to just use the lemon, the sauce is good but these babies stand wonderfully on their own. Great place, good music, fun times with friends in an accessible location with amazing food. What's not to like? 5 stars
Very very loud. The speaker kept cutting out and making a crazy loud sounds. No air flow. Very hot and stuffy. Had a salmon burger. The patty didn’t even fit on the square bun. It was weird. Nothing special and very plainFood: 3/5
Fantastic food, great server...will definitely come again Order the Mozzarella sticks!!!Food: 5/5
Popped in before our concert, amazing vibes & great tunes. The servers were lovely and attentive, engaged in good banter. It was disappointing to witness the manager/owner berate his employees with patrons present, especially as the yelling was stemming from the fact that he apparently was trying to close. Thank goodness your employees remained professional even after we watched their faces drop after your scolding. Sorry to bother you with our business sir. Won't happen again.
Environment is nice in the place, service is good as well..... food is ok, ordered mozzarella sticks and wings, sticks were awesome but my wings were a little bit over roasted and salty but not bad.
We had no idea about this restaurant before going in. Oh my goodness the food is absolutely amazing and delicious. The T-Burg and Chicken Fingers with salads were so yummy ! Todd with the double D was our server and he was so friendly and nice looks a bit like Brian Adam’s Thank you Todd , our meal was perfect and Hats off to the Chef.. We will be back !… P.S. The location is perfect if you happen to be going to a London Knights Game.
