Red Dog Saloon Soho
"Barbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky taste to the meat. The process could take many hours, leaving the meat tender and juicy. Our award-winning smokers have been imported from the USA and are built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We smoke for up to 16 hours using the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour. For the best burgers in Soho, look no further than Red Dog Saloon."

We always end up going to the same places when we come up to London and thought we would try something new. It did not disappoint the food was fantastic, we had the USS new York with rodeo burger and the peanut burger. Both amazing. Also ordered chips and onion rings too. The onion rings were the best I have ever had. And gutted we couldn't finish. We ordered too much and couldn't finish it all but it was definitely worth it. We will definitely be coming back.
Did not enjoy the food here at all, the platter was full of meat that was extremely fatty, we didn’t even touch the mashed thing in the middle as couldn’t even really tell what it was. The sausages were very processed and the brisket generally didn’t have any smoky flavor and just tasted like fat. A very disappointing choice when paying £60+ for a single menu item. I really hate to waste food but couldn’t bring myself to eat anymore of it, it got worse as it got colder. The ice tea was also extremely sweet that I had to dilute it with water, overall such a shame.
I thought today would be a day to treat ourselves.. well I was wrong. I will not be coming back !! Do not fall for these positive reviews. Their food is unseasoned and an animal died for nothing. The meat had no flavouring. Paying £32 for that and the portion is ridiculous! You would think the food would be flavoured and seasoned with how much you have to pay. We felt sick at the end of the night We had the USS Oregon 2/10 - the only thing nice on there was the coleslaw and sausage Creamed corn- 0/10 tasted like nothing even when you added salt. Mash potatoes- 3/10 how can you possibly mess that up. Honestly, just money down the drain.
We ordered the brisket, buffalo wings, beef rib and a side of fries. The brisket was amazing and the beef rib was outstanding. The only thing that I would have changed would have been the Ranch sauce that came with the buffalo wings, me and my fiancée both agreed that the sauce was quite unpleasant and not at all like traditional "Ranch" sauce at other places. Apart from that, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
You know a meal is disappointing when you don’t even bother to take a picture of it. The only reason I’m giving a two star review is because I respect the livelihoods of servers that were good. All of the sides were inedible, the mash was lumpy, the mac and cheese tasted like mustard and the beans lacked texture and flavour. The only bearable side was the slaw, and even that was incredibly average. The platter we order was a stodgy mismatch of poor quality, underseasoned and averagely cooked meat. The hotlinks were such a disappointment were such a disappointment that we gave up after a couple of bites. The brisket was the worst I’ve ever had. The only saving grace of anything was the wings, even then, they were far from exceptional, just what you’d expect a decent all round buffalo wing to be. When you think of southern style cooking you think of bold flavours and though the ribs were to some extent tender, they were dry with a minimal smoky flavour. I would probably say this was my mistake but we went for a non boozy sweet tea. The sweet tea tasted like 6 spoons of sweetener. If I ever had sweet tea again I would definitely know to have it with something to take the edge of its sweetness
Booked a table for 20:00. Got to the restaurant at 19:55 and was waiting outside for 20 minutes waiting to be seated. No one came up to us we had to go in and say we was waiting. But still waited another 15 minutes. The place was tiny. Staff didn't seem to really care. We ordered drinks and 2 out four was the completely wrong cocktails. No apology was given. Food arrived on time but the rib hardly had any meat on it. No server came up to us to see if we was okay or for any more drinks, we asked for a bottle of water and never received. They automatically but a tip on the final bill. Made sure they took that off. The burgers to be fair was was amazing and one of the best I've had but I wouldn't return due to the lack of service.
Been wanting to try Red Dog Saloon for over a year now since I first saw videos of their food on Instagram. Their burgers looked really delicious and messy, so of course when I came to London, I had to give them a shot. We went to the Soho location since it was closest to where I was staying. It was tucked away in a small street away from the traffic noise so that was nice. The restaurant was definitely smaller than I had anticipated and quite empty so maybe not as popular as I would have thought, but at least we got seated right away. Our waitress was very nice and quickly brought us menus. We already knew what we wanted to try so our orders were in quickly. I had the Philly Cheeseburger. As someone from Philly, I needed to see if this met the philly standards. The burger was massive and messy just as expected. The first half of the burger was great. Had a nice juicyness to it and lots of cheese. Unfortunately, the second half had a bit too much fat on the ribeye. Overall, I would rate it a 6 out of 10 but if you are a fan of ginos or pats cheesesteaks, you'll probably love it. My wife had the gooey Louie which had mazorella sticks and she's a sucker for those. She also really enjoyed the first half but by the second half, she was over it. I did try her burger and I was not a fan. One of the sauces tasted too much like mayonnaise which I'm not a big fan of although I do not believe there was any mayo in it. We also ordered fried pickles. These were much to sweet for my liking, but if you eat them in moderation, it's not the worst. Overall, I probably won't go back again, but definitely think it should be tried at least once.
This place is perfect! It was pretty full when we arrived but they gave us a table, took our order quickly and we didn't have to wait long for the food. We ordered the New York platter and when it came it was delicious. So tasty and so filling. The staff were very friendly and checked in a few times to make sure everything was okay. When we left we decided that we have to go back to London just to go to this restaurant!
Red Dog Saloon wasn't my typical choice of cuisine since I prefer healthier options, but my husband was eager to try it after seeing their Instagram feed. Despite not being my usual pick, we had a great time. The food was surprisingly tasty, especially the Philly cheese fries! Overall, it's a four-star experience for satisfying my husband's cravings and providing a fun dining experience.
Absolutely loved the food here!! I'm in London once every 6 weeks. And I search out restaurants that do This style of food.... And it wasn't a disappointment at all very nice indeed. Also, forgot to mention the beer was lovely.
