Small pub, so not too many people, which makes for a quieter experience. I had a Guinness and enjoyed listening to the locals chat. Do wish the barmaid would at least ask if you'd like a receipt after paying. Gotta keep track of those charges!Service: 4/5
Great tiny boozer with real character and charm. The barman and owner was lovely and went above and beyond for my dog. Very reasonable prices for Manchester city centre, comfy and friendly and very welcoming. Great for a woman enjoying a quick pint on her own, I felt very safe here.Service: 5/5
A great traditional pub… outdoor mens and great sle!Service: 5/5
This topped up my few days spent here. The pub is full of character and the sauce was great. My friend and enjoyed the environment and shared a great time. We be back soon when in these sides again. Top spot!!Food: 3/5
It's rare to be able to visit and old traditional pub in the city centre. Great atmosphere created by the people in here and the friendly staff. It's small but that adds to the experience. Its a must visit to anyone coming to Manchester. I even found myself sat next to a well known actor enjoying a quiet pint on his way to Old Trafford.
Lovely mood and great beer. Old school Manchester pub. With the best ever outdoor toilet great plumbing and header tank artwork
The Grey Horse Inn is a lovely, snug, little [as in: tiny] alehouse in downtown Manchester, a short walk from Piccadilly Gardens. A limited selection of solid real ales is available on tap, and you will find the service friendly and helpful. There's only about half a dozen tables, and upon opening it filled up very quickly. One thing about the opening times: Google Maps and a sign at the door indicate that it opens at 11 a.m., but when I was there on a Tuesday in October it didn't open until 12. Otherwise, wholly recommendable.
Such a nice little pub to meet up over a pint. Cosy is an understatement, but so full of atmosphere and a good choice of beer.Food: 5/5
Discovered about 4 years ago on my visits to Manchester. Good pub atmosphere, excellent Hydes beer, friendly staff, and most importantly it has few of the features I was invited to tick on other review sites.A proper pub.Service: 5/5
