Fantastic garage. Having spoken on the phone during the week and paying a deposit, we went to view a car at the weekend. When we arrived the salesman was very polite and friendly. The car was polished and waiting for us outside the garage and we were allowed to take it for a test drive. All the documentation for the car was available for us to check. We eventually decided the car wasn't for us, but there was no hard sell as there is in some garages and our deposit was refunded there and then. I should also mention that before we viewed the car the garage agreed to put a fresh MOT on it without me needing to ask. They also offered us a fair price for our trade in. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this garage in future and I will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
WORST SALES EXPERIENCE OF LIFE Well!!! With £12,000 in my pocket i went along to these premises feeling very excited to buy an Audi TT that I had asked my husband to look at 2 days before. It was exactly what I was looking for. The guy asked me “ would you like to take it for a spin”? Excitedly I said yes and came back to the shop looking forward to discussing business and buying the car. What I was met with was the most horrendous sales experience ever. The car was beautiful and had only done 12,000 miles as the sales man kept telling me. I said I really wanted to buy the car but I wanted to bring along my friend mechanic to give it the once over or asked could I take it to him , just to give me peace of mind for parting with such along of money. The conversation then took a totally different direction I was told that, since I had been out test driving the car, another lady had been on the phone saying that she wanted to buy it this despite the fact the same sales person said he wouldn’t sell it to her as she had a trade in that he didn’t want When I said I definitely wanted the car and again just wanted a yes from my mechanic I was told it’s all been looked over and the car is fine and asked DO YOU NOT TRUST ME? no as by this time I felt extremely uncomfortable. Trust is earned and I didn’t at any time have that lovely sales experience that I had hoped I would, bring so excited, with what I thought was going to be a lovely purchase! He took the keys back from me and as I was leaving, the sales guy asked for my number and said he would keep me updated...... Came home and had a bizzare text saying he can’t let anyone take a car away for inspection as-its then not insured unless car is in A1 condition but no harm done ... what? I then wrote back saying I still wanted car after it was inspected All very strange ending with the fact they should have offered trade plates, which they didn’t, should have been accompanied, which I wasn’t and someone at office would be addressed The best part was “sorry you weren’t looked after properly best move on from both our points” Well I thought the whole point of being a salesperson in a garage was to sell a car Meanwhile the money is still in my pocket, car in this garage and a lovely looking car that could have been enjoyed Angry customer!
Andy and everyone there were great. Bought a great little Tigra for my wife the day before i deployed. He sorted a minor problem for her with a small leak. It was a simple fix, around £100.00. The car is great value, immaculately prepared and Andy helped with sorting a delivery as i was unable to pick vehicle up due to commitments. Overall, fantastic service, will be looking here first for my next car.
Not long bought a car from this garage, reading the last few reviews i had a really good experience with the garage and found the staff very helpful and accommodating. They went out there way to help me find the perfect car I was looking for within my budget range. I also recommend this garage to a few of my friends and they have told me their thoughts and they were really happy with their purchase also and would recommend it to others. Would definitely purchase my next car in the future from this garage.
Looks like a small business but with a good variety of cars at very reasonable prices. We wanted a part exchange and were not given as much as we would have hoped for our own vehicle but it was as expected. The owner and employee were very pleasant to deal with. If there was a car there I wanted I would definitely go back.
Traveled from castle Douglas to look at a Z4 , was in regular contact with the salesman and car looked great from the pictures. However upon getting to The premises I could see the car was far from described , brake discs needing replacing, head lights needed replacement, paintwork was terrible, but I took car for drive, petrol light flashing and could hear water splashing about in the car which upon investigation turns out water is blocked and sitting in the place where the electric motor for the roof sits basically drainage channels blocked. I then asked about keys, only one which turned out would not open / lock door remotely, more lies about cost for new key which I did actually check at the time. Car basically needed about £1000 on it to bring it up to a decent level. The salesman was basically a liar, if you were not car minded this guy would basically tell you anything. I wouldn’t buy a pencil from this place, they have wasted my time, my day off and basically lied about the condition of the car. I don’t like having my time wasted especially by liars and chancers like this idiot. Offered to take the car for £500 off but they would not have it, on reflection offering them half the asking price would have still been too much. If you see a blue z4 with 40k mikes advertised , don’t waste your time it’s not worth it. !! Update I think it’s fair to say going by the other negative feedback left for this company and the Salesman is best to avoid the place. I left a review for these guys on autotrader suggest everyone does the same even more horror stories from this establishment, kinda feel sorry for anyone who bought a car from them. It’s clear the cars they sell are substandard and have issues, the salesman is not professional on any level, and is quite happy to blantly lie to anyone. Seriously if you want a bit of a laugh take a few mates and go pretend to buy a car from here, it’s so bad it’s actually bearing on comical. If the actual owner of this company reads this, do yourself a favour, sack your salesman, get your cars valeted properly and make sure your cars are fault free, and if a problem does arise fix it amicably and quickly, you have some nice cars for sale and they are different from the normal euro boxes but nobody wants to deal with a rude unprofessional lying clown like your salesman.
Bought a land cruiser off these guys advertised as "the best in the country". Well... turned out it was 10k miles overdue an oil change and it had an advisory on an MOT 3 years prior for leaking in the shockers at the rear. When I set off in the car it was bouncing around to a point that it became unroad worthy. This was obviously due to the neglect of the vehicle previously which clearly wasnt as well looked after as I was told. I rung the garage straight away and at first it all seemed to be going well and they wanted to help, however that didnt last long. They wanted me to pay out of my own pocket for an inspection on the vehicle to confirm the issue I already new. I argued with them for weeks that they should pay but they never did. It eventually got a full inspection which showed faulty shockers and they tried to say it was my fault. Fortunately it wasnt difficult to prove it was already broken when i picked the car up as i informed them the same day and the mot history showed the issue. After an 18 month battle with the financial ombudsmen service I was finally able to return the vehicle for a refund, funnily enough they then claimed I had caused £4500 worth of damage to the suspension and tried to pay me back a lot less then the price I paid. Ironically this was around the cost to fix the issues with the car and cover any depreciation. What are the odds of that eh? The whole process was a nightmare they agreed to pick me up from the train station but never did and just chucked £10 at me when I got there saying it's to cover the taxi costs etc. I actually ended up walking 3 miles to get to the show room. By far one of the most stressful situations of my life having to pay finance on a car that I cant use whilst it sits there because they wouldnt fix it. I had to buy a different car in the end and despite the refund I received the stress I had to deal with was not worth it at all. Avoid at all costs I'd say.
Bought a Passat from here with low mileage and only one fault I've noticed and that's the Cruise control doesn't work. That aside staff seemed nice enough, woman behind the desk was really helpful. Five Stars to her. The guy that sells the cars and I think owns the garage was nice enough at the start. I left my deposit and we haggled a bit over price. He then offered to take £90 of the price or pay for my road tax. I said I'd take the road tax. The next day I showed up with the cash and paid for the car. He then refused to pay for my road tax even after admitting to offering me £90 off. He obviously remembered the conversation but had no intention on sticking to his word. He gave me the patter " I wouldn't agree to that! Not with these margins" he then haggled with me and said he would pay half the amount for 6 months tax £33 I argued my point and called him on it. He told me to take it or leave it. Ultimately I agreed as I had already paid £4790 for the car and just wanted out of there. Maybe he was having a bad week or maybe he just doesn't have people skills. Not a great experience over all. Seemed like once the money had changed hands he didnt care. Just annoys me when someone says something and doesn't follow through. Let's you know what kind of person/people thay are. I have just seen the car I traded in as well and if that's the margins he was talking about then he is truly having a laugh. I'm not bitter over the price I got for my car. It was less that I got offered elsewhere but he had the better car.
if You wish a bizarre buying experience this is the place for you.Travelled to view a low mileage AudiTT on behalf of my wife. The saleman knew nothing about the car let alone the mileage,he thought it was double the described 12000. No interest in a 2011 Land Rover trade in ,initially refused a test drive as it was raining and if I didn’t buy it he would have to valet it again...... Pursued the test drive and was eventually given one!! It was basically buy it or don’t,your choice.. When parting with almost £12000 I would expect some degree of service and civility, none given or received from this garage and it’s staff 1 Star Rating as the car looked nice shame it couldn’t talk and sell itself as the salesman certainly couldn’t.
I just bought a little mini from them, the mot for the car was up in October but they said to bring the car back so they can put a years mot on the car. True to their word they did it and fixed anything that might of come up on the mot. Got new brakes and a new tyre. If your looking for a garage that's inderpenant and don't want to use the usual bigger companies I recommend this company. Very friendly helpful and have a great range of vehicles. Little gem of Glasgow.
