I have to say straight away the manager/ chef has to be one of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure to be around, attentive and kind. Midday Thursday, fish chips mushy peas for two and drinks food was delicious £20. Thank you so much, you made our day. Kind regards
Called in lunch time 28/02/23 two lovely ladies served and chatted, very friendly pub will certainly eat here again soon… Prices great and good value. Thank you ladies for a nice lunch. X
Very nice staff great food.
Just been here for a couple of beers and a spot of lunch - exactly what you'd expect, decent quality, decent prices, hard to go wrong. What set the place aside was the service - big smiles, friendly banter, lovely atmosphere, and never left waiting. Right up there with the best chain pubs I've visited in recent memory - the staff are an absolute asset. Special mentions to Carla and Julia!
Best place around burybst edmunds for some good live music and a boogy. There is entertainment pretty much every weekend.
Nice little pub was quiet when I went in but boards up saying did live music will need to visit again. Staff was friendly too
I worked here 35 years ago and have always used the pub since. The beer is kept perfectly, the bars, public spaces and loos are always clean and the food is great value and served beautifully hot. There are always great bands playing at the weekends and other activities durin the week. 10 out of 10.
Booked a table for an evening meal Saturday 26th November, 6pm. Arrived ahead of time and went to check in, only to be told that they don't accept bookings from the app and the kitchen closed at 6pm - somehow this was my fault! Had to hastily find somewhere else to seat a party of six at short notice. My first bad experience with a Greene King pub. Edit: I have now spoken with Lou from the Grapes, who was profusely apologetic for the experience and offered me compensation for it. I have asked that this be donated to a charity I support so that they may use it to fund their services.
Very friendly staff and a really good night with a great crowd
My personal experience is always warm and friendly. From a Gluten Free/coeliac I'm coeliac and have chips here regularly with no reactions.
