Only had to use this doctors about 3 times over 14years or so. Every time you can't get appointments and there is some issue, eg. sent to wrong surgery by staff.nI did an econsult on the 6th of May expecting to be reviewed and appointment issued if needed. How wrong could I be...Eventually got a text message saying I needed to book an appointment. So I rang up when I got chance only to be told no appointments available until June, but I could try and call at 8.00am the next day to get an appointment if there was any spare but no guarantee there will be. Do these people not know people work and don't have the ability to sit by the phone on the chance you might get an appointment. Considering they read my econsult and decided I need to see a doctor but did not book an appointment or give me access to one is verging on medical negligence!!nSo two days after econsult I'm stuck no further forward. Walk in centre I suppose!!!nHow is it possible to run a practice as badly as they do.? Are they just after their healthy pay cheques and not bothered about the public? Makes you wonder. I know they would not last long in the private sector.
I needed a quick response to get medication sent to me that day before I went on holiday.nI spoke to reception, booked a telephone appointment for 2 hours later, filled in a online form and after a doctors review the medication was at my chosen chemist to pick up. All sorted in 5 hours in total and I never left my work place.
Abysmal! Never any appointments over the four practices that this group, Reimagining General Practice GPMS Services Ltd, run. Always told to ring at eight in the morning, along with hundreds of others. Not an acceptable way to run appointments. Unable to access the service & not fit for purpose. Looking for another GP now.
Actually a joke at this point, I’ve tried to be patient with this place as I know they’re understaffed, but every time I go my issue is never sorted, I’m just sent away with the same medication that I have REPEATEDLY told them is not working.nnToday I booked an appointment, thinking it was at Grange Road because well that’s the number that comes up when you look up Grange Road Medical. Signed in on the computer thing, waited an hour as they said there would be a delay on screen so I waited, then got a phone call asking where I was and that I had been called for twice, they then informed me that my appointment was at Crawcrook, not Grange Road, which I was NOT told on the phone, Grange Road is my usual.nnI never asked to be transferred to crawcrook, it is difficult for me to leave the house so I only want to go to Grange Road, it causes me distress having to go to anywhere different. Please just let me attend my usual doctors
Used to be decent until they merged a few practices together. Now you call up and wait for 20 mins on hold and then phone hangs up. It's easier driving to the practice and speaking to them. Phone lines are pointless.nEdit: This has since improved and phone lines are indeed much better. Staff are very polite and patient. I don't know if this was originally an issue as it changed hands.
