This was my second stay at Goodenough. Great place Central location, great staff at Freddies Cafe, and front desk helpful. The food at Cafe is enjoyable plenty and very reasonable. I met some lovely students and had great shared conversations. WIFI HIGH SPEED YAY! There were only a couple of negatives as it was estly in semester, perhaps an induction on building constraints as a historical site as toilet blockages were constant. I used my steps just walking to toilets to get one that was clean and usable in the middle of the night.more support for young frmails and cultural difference induction may assist?. Secondly, I asked to get a taxi booking that was fine and was you'd we don't take responsibility. I get that.However, when they dump you on the side of the road at the wrong address, it comes back to Goodenough. Differrnt taxi company perhaps?
This IS the place to live in London. Amazing community, Goodenough have really unique opportunities to connect with amazing people. This has been my highlight living in the UK.
This place is amazing with top tier customer service at both main reception desks. I stayed for one night between 15th and 16th of August this year for a work trip and it’s simply beautiful. I was just a visitor but anyone studying here is truly lucky

Great option if you are looking for cheap accommodation in central London! It's not a hotel but a dorm - that is important to consider - therefore don't expect full service in terms of towels, soap, hairdryer, cutlery, tv or other amenities usually present in hotel rooms although there is room cleaning service available. My room facing the street was perfect for my short stay, it was quite spacious, with a desk, closet and comfortable bed - something you'd expect in a dorm room. It only had a sink - all other facilities such as toilets, showers and kitchen were shared. All spotless and clean despite being common places. My room was in very good condition, unfortunately there was no AC, only a fan, I visited London during the summer heatwave therefore my stay was not as comfortable as I would have liked. Regardless, it's a perfect budget/last minute option to stay in the city center. The whole neighborhood seemed quiet so having windows to the street didn't bother me at all I would have preferred the view to the meticulously cut yard if I could choose. The British Museum is only 10 minutes away walking distance and the same goes for tube, either to Russells Square or King's Cross St. Pancras. Visited in July 2022. Paid by card.
Had my wedding reception , absolutely gutted with the quality of the food , the service was terrible , constant complaints from guests , what we paid for did not reflect in what was served, we paid for refreshments to be served to guests through out our wedding dinner, this was not done . Despite the fact they claim that their catering contractor is “ award winning “ , that accolade most definitely is not from recent times , I have even researched further into their catering contractor Holroyd Howe and they have a 2 star rating on Google ! so the fact that Goodenough College are advertising them as “ Award Winning “ adds further lack of credibility and honesty by them. From the onset we had issues with them with their incorrect and very misleading price guides which were out of date by 5 years ! and we had months of going back and forth via email to rectify and agree a fair price as they initially advertised the venue with a host of add - ons that suggested they were inclusive in their package , which later turned out to be untrue , but they never at any point indicated with * in their price material , by that point we were already sold on the venue and had cancelled other viewings we had, so we went along with it despite them of the cuff telling us of “price changes “ being implemented. The Food presentation by the kitchen staff was abominable risking cross contamination of meat onto vegetarian food , this was supposed to be the happiest days of our lives and they absolutely left an irreversible mark of embarrassment on us , their PA system was wish washy and I wish we never bothered with here , the only decent thing is the court yard to take pictures in. I would never ever recommend here as a wedding venue! Ever !

My husband, baby, and I lived here for just under a year as I worked on a MSc. We cannot say enough positive things about the experience; we had such a family support system in William Goodenough House. The facilities were excellent, we felt very safe, and the events and connections were entirely worth it. Location is fantastic, and allowed us a wonderful year abroad. Cannot recommend enough.
I lived for a year and a bit at Goodenough, quite a while ago now, when I was doing my grad studies at the LSE. All in all it was a great experience and one that I cherish to this day. Lots of interesting and accomplished people from all over the world. How the college is these days I have no idea, 25 years can change a lot and it did seem to become strangely earnest around the time of all that George Floyd stuff, much wringing of hands, but back in the day it was certainly a great place to be.
Gorgeous venue and super staff. An oasis in the hustle and bustle. I'd choose to do a course nearby just to have a chance to live here.
