A normal underground station that is served by the Northern line this station has lifts available to the platforms. The ticket hall area is a average size the station was clean and tidy toilets are available outside the station. The bus station and coach drop off / pick up is right outside Golders Green is a busy a station.
Its one of my favourite parts of London, but the underground station is one of the worst from what I experienced for the last 2 years. Last summer it was a mess, very often - no announcements from the staff, which train will depart first, which platform, I waited for the train for 25 minutes during summer sometimes for various reasons which make me late for work, nervous, ruining the mood. The old clock at the stations is showing the wrong time for ages and nobody cares. The entrance/exit gates always have some issues and nobody in a hurry to fix them. Yesterday the ticket machines had some issues not accepting bank cards, again - no info.
Always a great stop point to be picked up afterwards. National Express got a bit expensive the last few years but it's still worth it if you want to go fast into London from Stansted Airport! Highly recommended!
The worst underground station, the toilets are close and are only for staff not for regular people or tourists because they don't have enough staff and no rubbish bins. It is always close due to minor stupid things that can be avoided if staff will be a little more interested in doing there jobs. How the hell a station can be close floated because of a little rain for 20 min this is just outrageous.
Pretty bad station. Dirty bus area, strange people, tattered buildings, disgusting toilets as you would expect. Good connectivity though.
I've been here many times, it's a lovely station. And really great that so many bus stops are just outside.
Only Northern line trains here. Platform 2 and 3 for Northbound trains and platforms 4 and 5 for Southbound trains. However, for lift access choose the other side paths.
Bus area nice for a quick cycling stop. Station looks bustling and busy !
1man today 13:15, 30/09/24 who didn't tell his name, he said he is station supervisor if it is true, was terrible rude, didn't care that people went out without check, and after me I could not use the big gate because I was with 2 huge shopping bag I asked him to help me with the gate he shouted me 3times that he is talking with a woman, and I was waiting with 20kg in My hand, after me another man who wanted to use the big gate he was very upset for this supervisor, after we used the small gate, which was closed on My huge bags, and he didn't care with us, just shouted like a crazy.
Modern technologies with traditional vibes. Easy to acquire an Oyster smart card even through a machine.
