Kentish Town Station is served by the Northern line which go towards Morden and High Barnet and is also served by Thameslink trains which go towards Luton and Sutton. Currently at the time of this review posted the Northern line Station is closed for refurbishment. The National rail part of the station has four platforms with stairs only there is no disabled access at all here. It's a very basic train station that has no ticket barriers here.
Been closed for over a year allegedly only to replace 2x escalators. Have to travel further to the next station at Camden Town which adds another 10 minutes to my journey time. Absolutely gross and a complete lack of responsibility. Constructors in other countries would build new skyscrapers within that period or in fact in as little as few months time whereas here in London they cannot finish a typical scheduled maintenance service involving the essential facilities upgrade at the promised time.
Staff are so friendly and helpful. I left my phone on the train this morning, and they helped me get to customer information and then communicate with other stations so my phone could be found. Was so sure it would be taken, but they found it and held it for me. Big thank you to Nadia and Sebahate at Kentish Town!
I got robbed and because I'm homeless they refused to help me and made out like I was the one in the wrong they humiliated me lucky I had some help so please don't go to kentish town police station as they hate the public I ended up self harming because of these sick officers who have too much power I will never trust the police ever as far as I'm concerned they want us dead
Came across the construction site at Kentish Town on my way home
The railway station is served by Thameslink trains. If you want to quickly travel into the centre of London consider taking a train rather than the tube. Although there was some signage on the overbridge near the staircases, there was a distinct lack of real time departure information. There were trains in the platforms but I had little ides when they would be leaving plus the steps did not look safe for someone in a hurry or after heavy rainfall.
A good station located at the heart of Kentish Town. Staff were friendly and helpful. The station is maintained neat and clean. However, one downside is the number of ticket barriers. There are only two each side which can make it difficult during crowded hours. Easy accessibility to other public transport from the station.
It's a great place for hanging out.
From the tfl website: "The Northern line will not stop at Kentish Town station from Monday 26 June 2023 for up to a year. This is so we can replace the escalators and carry out station improvements."
Worst sound of any gig I've ever experienced
