We live quite local to the Golden Fleece so we go there quite a lot just because the food they serve is much better than our local pub. The Saturday menu is especially good! I'm always extremely pleased with whatever I am served. All staff are very professional and friendly considering it's a pub. The locals are all very lovely and welcoming also!! I really recommend this for a pleasant meal with family or friends!
Nice little pub with comfy seating. There isn't a vast array of drinks but there are plenty to choose from. Haven't sampled the food but from what I have seen it looks good. I haven't explored it fully but I don't remember there being an outdoor seating area. The is a car park right next to the pub and this usually has spaces in it.
Possibly the best brazed beef and horseradish mash I've ever had; we'll be going again very soon. My wife had the only vegetarian meal on the menu which she enjoyed. Good selection of wines. A window seat next time please......
Called in on speck on the return journey from our holiday. Although the barman was on his own in the bar I think he said his wife was ill, he was extremely helpful didn't keep us waiting and had a very pleasant manner. Food was excellant hot and tasty. Well worth the money and well worth a visit. When we left the barman was busy elsewhere but hurried out onto the carpark to wave and wish us a safe journey as we left the car park. Only wish we lived nearer to use more often. Have already recommended it to friends and relatives should they be going in that direction. Thank You you helped finish our holiday in style.
Great welcome Good short menu Chef willing to adapt to our need to Some of the best pies anywhere for a long time Magic sticky toffee pudding On top of all that The Black Sheep Ale is wonderfully kept Pity someone has taken over the TripAdvisor site for this house and confused it with another place of the same name
