So impressed with Station Attendant, Michael, today, who came to the rescue when my friend's train was delayed, meaning she would miss her connection. We hadn't even asked for help - he just noticed and could not have been more helpful, working out an alternative route for her and reassuring her that her ticket would still be valid. He also ensured she photographed the route displayed on his phone, together with the delay notification. Very impressed and appreciative. Great customer service.
Close proximity to the town of Oswestry. it gets an alright service from TfW between Cardiff and holyhead
Good station.nnIt is unmanned but has ticket machines.nnFree parking but spaces are limited.nnDidn't see any toilets.nnYou must give yourself enough time to get on the correct platform. There is a level crossing which closes just before the train arrives and re-opens after the train departs, so you might get stuck on the wrong side and miss your train
A special thank you to the lovely café staff! My friend’s daughter had left her train ticket on a table in the café. We only realised as the train was pulling in and were on the opposite platform. A lovely lady from the café also realised and ingeniously managed to get it to us, connected to a packet of mints. I will leave it to your imagination!nThank you, lovely lady xxx
Had too laugh sign by ticket office pay cash and not online too keep station open, missed my train and 3pm was thrown outside in freezing cold out of waiting room well if u want the station open think of the paying customers before u throw everyone out into freezing cold 19/12/24
