We have just collected a canoe from the Derby store that we reserved online. When the item was presented to us at the till it was showing a price of £309.00. The reserved price online is £330. The box was very old and tatty, it had obviously been opened before and in stock for a long time. We were charged £330, so I asked to speak to the Manager. A guy called Arron arrived and told us that the price on the box was a very old price and he wasn't prepared to sell it to us for that. He offered us a display /opened canoe which we didn't want for obvious reasons as they are inflatable and it could of been damaged. We are extremely disappointed with the product and the service, but we have driven a fair way to collect it and want to use the canoe over the next few days. We have had great service in the past from Go Outdoors, this has really disappointed us. Our advise to others looking to reserve and travel for expensive items. Don't! Update: We were in our local Go Outdoors in Preston looking for shorts and mentioned our problem to the Manager Scott and his Assistant Manager Ashleigh. The difference in attitude and willingness to help was astonishing. He was appalled at what had happened offered to refund the difference there and then. We are very happy with Go Outdoors, maybe avoid Derby when Arron is working.
A Fantastic Out Door activity Shop covering every pursuit possible and every make possible. The Staff are friendly and helpful with bags of Knowledge and we would recommend this shop to anyone
Lovely store, I generally shop equestrian which is always well stocked and as plenty of choice ranging in price. However the cycle section i find limited for women cyclist. I do mountain biking and commute to and from work regularly and would love to see more clothing for women and shoes etc.
Huge stock, I found three items I really liked however none had a price so I took photos of the labels and ordered from elsewhere online. Two tier pricing, no thanks. Won't be returning.
First time visiting a go outdoors. Will be the only time. Many items on offer. Fleece from £50-25. Asked if I had a card. No. No explanation as to why I needed card. Qr code as much as a chocolate teapot. Either have a sale or tell your staff to explain to customers. Why they should have a card.
Walked in for the first time while visiting Derby for a couple of days and .... wow!!!! What a beautiful store Lovely people too. Well recommended
Store was big and clean Till staff lovely. Store manager James attitude was absolutely disgusting, rude,and abrupt, when we asked him why he was speaking to us the way he was. His response was to BLAME us for being rude when we wasn't !. I'm a manager myself and I wouldn't dare speak to customers the way he did. Very unprofessional comes to mind. Even till staff were shocked. If he speaks to customers like this, how does he treat his staff? Shame it was the STORE MANAGER that's let the store down, as the rest of the staff where fantastic
Very lovely service! Had a problem with a jacket which I discovered was faulty after use. Staff kindly exchanged with no fuss : Lovely store with great range of products.
Still waiting for a £40 refund which isn’t a lot but it’s the principle. The Derby store promised the refund would get sorted but this was nearly 4 weeks ago. Have called Customer Service 3 times. Received items which had obviously been used, as well as items blatantly damaged in transit. Pretty poor show Go Outdoors. Disappointing. Update: after 6 weeks, the refund and a £20 voucher was given.
Big shop but lots of stuff is not available... Sizes ...etc... And I just can't bare this hyding price tags where club card price is one and little letters show not a club card price which is hallarious and they force you to be a member, bombard you with adverts, and know everything about your shopping habbits to make you buy more things you do not need. Not coming back.
