Excellent all round service. The correct parts were identified, and good advice as to my options was given. Two new headlight bulbs and a new car battery fitted in a matter of minutes. They clearly knew what they were doing and inspired confidence. Excellent price for the lot, representing good value for money.
I went to Halfords in Bracknell just before Xmas, was extremely busy but the staff were very quick and helpful. “ Phil” was fitting a new bulb for me in a queue which was about 10 people deep. He got the job done quick and easy. Would recommend Halfords for quick and easy motoring needs.
Really knowledgeable staff. I wasn't sure if our BMW hybrid electric car could have a dash cam fitted after so many conflicting comments on the Internet. But the customer assistant at Bracknell Halfords assured me that it would. He took our car registration and checked on their system to be sure. And helped me to select the right dash cam for us. And it wasn't the most expensive one either! Excellent service, thank you so much.
Went in this morning for a bike service and puncture repair. Initially I wasn't sure where to go but asked at the pick-up and go desk and a guy came and carried my bike upstairs for me - bonus! My bike was serviced by Jack and he was very knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and chatted to me about any improvements needed. I was really impressed with the level of service. Thanks again to Jack on the bike service department.
Took my car for its MOT. Was told there was a problem with the head gasket and that it'd be a big job. My car is old and I was ready to scrap it and buy a new one. Luckily I went for a second opinion and they spotted an obvious leak. It cost £50 to fix and £40 for the MOT. Go to Halfords for you bikes and bits but take your car to a proper garage. I nearly scrapped a perfectly good car because of inexperienced mechanics.
After visiting the store and the guy on the till trying to sign me up the the latest offer they are currently running I think it’s such a shame that he felt the need to have a dig at other competitor companies when I declined the health check, due to my car having recently be serviced at the dealership. Making comments such as “and what you trust them?!” “Bet that cost you an arm and a leg too!.” Don’t try and sell your business by slandering other companies, it’s not a good look and after those comments, I wouldn’t want a health check completed on my vehicle even if it was due one.
Personal data violation. Just finished with the non-sense of having to provide my email for the receipt. I’ll twice before I go in Halfords the next time, since the company doesn’t seem to have enough responsibility for customers’ personal data. The fact that I had to provide my email for the receipt is violation of my personal privacy and personal information. Why? - I didn’t want to provide my email and they said I had to since otherwise they can’t process the purchase. - I had to spell my email out loud, so other customers waiting in line could hear it. I have to intention of sharing my email left and right in front of other people. - it was a waste of my time to provide an email for £5 purchase. - last time I provided my email, I started receiving useless emails from Halfords. Did I ever agree to provide my consent to receive promotional consent via emails? Of course not, but apparently that’s what the company does after receiving my email. Shame and shame, and violation of Data Protection Act 2018.
Went in for a running daytime bulb replacement fitted. Difficult job but the engineer stuck with it and did it all. Very impressed. On an Astra J. Pleasant and efficient. Well done.
What a dark depressing shopping experience, no atmosphere in-store felt like a funeral home no music, staff uniform depressing. One month before Christmas, they have one member of staff working in the cycle area, waited ages but the young guy was busy so I took my £900 and went to another bike store locally, good job really as the bike accessories had empty shelves everywhere. The store also had this disgusting body odour smell in it. It was sad to see one staff member who is still after 3 years living in fear, totally obstructing most of his face which made communicating for some disabled customers difficult he's clearly been watching too much news, he might be better remaining at home for the duration of his life just in case he catches a cold.
Unimpressed. Booked to have both headlamp bulbs changed, mainly for convenience. Both to be changed as they recommended they should be changed as a pair. Returned after leaving the car with them for 20 mins, to be told that they hadn’t been able to change them because the headlamp end caps were seized on. Was told I would be refunded the fitting charge and I could pay for the bulbs and take them if I wanted to. Took one of the bulbs out to the car myself, unfastened both end caps, just to be sure easily done, replaced the blown bulb and then put both end caps back on. Should have done it myself to begin with. I feel there wasn’t any real attempt made to actually change the bulbs or the person trying wasn’t sufficiently trained to do so anyway.
