Nice pub with a great atmosphere. Worked well for a 50th birthday party. Staff very friendly too. We also ate at the pub and the burger was positively average unfortunately. But overall, I'd definitely visit again and it must be lovely in the summer in the outdoor area.
Really nice Pub with a huge terrasse. When it is sunny, it is just amazing. Big tables are available for big group. Roast dinner is really tasty, lot of gravy sauce and quickly served. Much appreciated The staff is just amazing, smiley and taking good care about their clients Lot of coqtails with reasonable price. Better to book on Sunday as it is quite busy
Very good food at a decent price, attentive service and a good range of beers. Pub is clean and bright but doesn't feel modern. Decent garden area too.
More a restaurant than pub, I think, ideal for large groups of family and friends. The food is fine from a sensible menu. On fine days the marque provides much needed additional space. What make this eatery special is the super young staff. What a breath of fresh air to be served by personable cheerful and willing young service staff. Charming! I enjoyed my time here and saw lots of happy people. Well worth a try.
Never ever again. Been before and had amazing food couple of years ago. Booked a table for 4 for a special occasion and expected same delicious food. No chance, worst meal we have ever eaten...in fact we left pretty much all of it on the plates. I cannot post pics on here for some reason but you are welcome to contact me for them. Avoid at all costs
Lovely food and very well presented. Could have done with a few light bites however friendly efficient staff and good service. Lovely outdoor area with lights and a good selection of tables. Very welcoming.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening on pub quiz night! The quiz was challenging at points but very accessible to all, with some fantastic round topics. Our food was excellent and the service was brilliant too. I'll definitely be coming back!
We had our engagement party at The Gloucester Old Spot and they couldn't have done enough for us! Super accommodating, always responsive to any messages, and they made us feel so welcome and looked after on the night. We had an amazing time and it's such a lovely venue and function space - we couldn't recommend it more! Thanks so much for an amazing night guys.
Friendly helpful and welcoming staff but Sunday Roast was a bit disappointing. I probably had the biggest piece of Pork Belly I have ever been served but unfortunately it wasn't cooked well and the fat hadn't been rendered down enough so I just had a rubbery hunk of fat on my plate. Veg was nice but Creamed Leeks don't go with red cabbage and carrot puree. The beef is sliced brisket but again wasn't cooked well and was very tough. For £18 I've had a lot better Roasts and over £5 a pint it could be a pricey lunch that leaves you disappointed.
Family and dog friendly pub. I have been here several times and never had a problem. It has a great enclosed garden which is sun trap. Just perfect for some food and drink.
