I originally rated this at 3 stars. But on retrospection a 4 is more appropriate. It's a decent place with a good beer selection, and the live sport is a plus. The TV placement could make viewing a little easier from more tables but that's quite a minor gripe! Thanks for looking at reviews though, it's good to see it.
Was there for friends birthday mixed with christmas drinks. They bought a tray of shots to our table which was so nice.
Good food and staff nice place for a few drinks. Busy on the weekend especially in the evening. Great place for the younger drinkers to meet up and have a few beers. Can get a bit noisy though so if its a quite night's drinking your after then best to move on after 8pm. Otherwise it's a fantastic place to go to.
Good for watching sport - can get a little cramped sometimes. Average pub grub at reasonable prices and good selection of well served drinks. Decent service.
Staff, venue and drinks were all great plus a free pint with the app! *chef's kiss*, however I can't say the same for the patrons seen as one woman slammed a door on my finger right before my frisbee tournament :.
Wednesday was a quiet night for the Tavern. That said the service was polite, the beers/ciders were good and also importantly the glasses were clean
Nice place and the manager is lovely. Gets a bit rowdy at the weekend. They are dog friendly too!
Great pub, for a chain. Decent beers on offer and chicken wings with hot peri peri were fab
Sign behind the bar says Two for One on cocktails but apparently they don't do it. Asked why not and the barman shrugged and said he didn't know why. Great stuff. Cheers for the false advertising.
Ordered a pint of speakled hen it was like vinegar not slightly off but very off. The barmaid saw my face and immediately offered a replacement which was not a well looked after pint either but drinkable. Swift action to replace is only reason I gave a 2 star. Beer is below standard, lots of better pubs in the immediate area
