The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious. I never knew vegan could taste soooooo good!!!
Great gig venue and pub, changed for the better in me opinion. Went there recently for the Municiapl Waste gig and it was amazing. The venue and staff coped well with a heaving punk gig and we're all very friendly and quick to pour the pints. Little smoking area out the front. A decent selection of larger, ales and ciders. Id recommend keeping eye out for gigs, think there will be more shows coming up.
Doggos allowed. Went for the Vegan roast with LD's kitchen which was bloody amazing! Lovely staff The toilets though need a lot of attention. Fun fact, when there's water on the floor in the loos, you can see the person in the next stall, in the waters reflection
Pub is fine but had 3 locals that sit in the corner at the front of the bar steal my drinks. Not cool. Lad with the wooly hat. But barstaff friendly . Good job I was ina good mood and drunk. The manager needs to have words with these cooky people .Its not like they are 20 , they have got to be in their 30s
Such a great pub. The perfect place to hang out on a Sunday, 10/10 vegan roast dinner! Yorkshire puddings to die for!
Vegans get yourselves here to try Stop Ya Beefin's pies!! Went to her first Sunday roast and everything was top notch. Especially the doughnuts for dessert! Super dog friendly too, great live music, lovely staff. Can't go wrong here.
Popped in for a vegan pie from Pie baby, just happened to be their Ale seitan event which was a roast dinner with pie and a dessert for £16. The food was absolutely lush. Cannot wait to go back here as the normal menu looks amazing too.
We had food from LDs Kitchen at the Golden Lion. Stunning! All completely vegan and mind blowingly good!
We had a really nice vegan roast at The Golden Lion. The pork tofu was good but the mocken roast chicken was spot on. Roasties and veg were tasty however the Yorkshire pud didn't turn out so well and was quite soggy. Desert was absolutely delicious and massive portions we had mocha praline cake and pecan pie. All together a really nice lunch and would deffo recommend giving the chicken style roast a go.
Tess at the golden lion got me home safe tonight when my phone died and I couldn't thank them enough. They were kind and patient and I owe them everything! Plus great prices and a lovely atmosphere :
