Old world Scotland but even in the owners opinion need some TLC. Beautiful location and stunning scenery. Come here is if you really want to get away from it all bit don't expect too many home comforts!

The lodge provides plenty of space for 8 or 9 guests. The facilities were left a bit untidy and unclean for our arrival. The heating system is pretty poor. Fortunately we were lucky enough to not need it too often. The grounds are small but scenic. They allow 2 pets but they do not cater for this very well. The grounds aren't ideal for active dogs and the only access to more suitable walks is by car or a long walk up a narrow and pretty busy road.

Lovely place for an extended family weekend birthday celebration. The lodge was just what we needed - warm and comfortable but informal easy living. The bedrooms are simple and comfortable, with a good kitchen and a great dining room for everyone to sit down together. The dogs loved all the open space, and there can be nowhere better than sitting out on the veranda on a sunny evening. We did lots of cooking and managed to find most of what we needed - although a food processor would have made life much easier when catering for 9 people! An extraordinary electric coffee pot was hidden deep in the utility room - maybe just a large cafetiere would be a simpler and more up to date solution? We loved the area, and will be back again soon.
