We came here expecting peace and relaxation, but instead we’ve been subjected to continuous noise from grass cutting and loud machinery literally from the morning onwards. This hasn’t just been for an hour or two, it’s been dragging on for well over five hours straight and completely ruined any chance of relaxing. We booked a holiday cottage, not a construction site. The constant disturbance makes it impossible to unwind or enjoy the surroundings. For the price paid, this is absolutely unacceptable. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, stay away you won’t get it here.
This has been the most relaxing, peaceful holiday we've ever been on. The lodges are wonderful, spacious, clean, modern, with a homey feel, and the hottub is the absolute cherry on top. Beautiful setting , welcoming staff, and the peaceful birdsong thought out the day is lovely. 10/10 experience. Perfect for a romantic week away.
This is the second SolidLuxury site we've stayed at and have been pleased again. The site was lovely and quiet, there is a good sized gap between cabins so you don't hear or disturb your neighbours. The hot tubs are a lovely bonus, and the lodges are priced reasonably for a hot tub. we've paid much more with another company for lodge with hot tub that wasn't anywhere near as luxurious.nnWe stayed at Squirrel 42 which was one of the first 4 lodges as you enter the park, this meant it was very quiet as we couldn't hear or see other lodges. There are some good forest walks for the dogs and plenty of bins for disposing of the dogs business.nnThe hot tub was checked every morning by a friendly member of staff and although we didn't need them as we had no issues we knew they were there if we did. Those saying there is nothing for children, that's exactly why we love Solid Luxury site, because there is nothing that's what makes the park peaceful and cheaper than other parks that offer lots of activities.nnThere is a lot to do in the area which meant we were out of the lodge most of the day doing activies around Galloway, and was lovely coming home to the hot tub for a realxing soak in the evening.
This is our 2nd visit it's so peaceful here and our dog loves it.our lodge is well equipped with everything needed for s/c,spotlessley clean and hot tub ready for use. reception staff are friendly and helpful, grounds kept immaculate it's a great place to recharge your batteries wether with friends or just the 2 of us this time
Gorgeous area. Soooo peaceful. Lodges have everything you need. Also a hot tub Not on top of one another which is excellent. Well worth a trip
