Lodges are clean and well kept, pet free lodges are ideal for those with allergies, kids love the outdoor space with a small play area. Location is ideal for those who love the outdoors with the forrest being right on the doorstep. Newton Stewart is within walking distance and has everything you need. Plenty to do around the area with young kids, you just need some luck with the weather.
Fully equipped self catering. Very clean and comfortable. Open planned living room / dining / kitchen. A lovely wooded area near by. Little town near by with shops for food drinks etc so easy enough to pick up supplies before checking in. There is also a lovely walk along the river just next to the shops.
Great place to stay in the heart of the Galloway Forrest park. Lodges are beautiful with all the catering equipment you will ever need. Also come with a hot tub so you can relax and take in the sounds of the Forrest. I stayed in the Lord Galloway lodge which can sleep up to 8 people and is also pet friendly so no need to leave your pet behind. Also situated next to the golf course with reduced green fees for the lodges..
The Lord Galloway lodge is a fabulous venue for a family holiday. The lodge itself is beautifully designed and has something for everyone. Our 12 year old is in boy-paradise with his own room, bathroom and games room! There is so much to do in the area and we have a full itinerary of activities for the week. So far, so good on day 3 of our 7 night stay.
A beautiful location and the cabins are gorgeous too. If I was asked to pick a fault my only issue would be the hot tub has no direct access to the cabin. To get there you have to walk through a gate which is next to the side entrance to the cabin. A very small issue really
Lovely secluded spot just out of newton stewart with charming wee wood cabin lodges. The staff have been really helpful and its been a lovely relaxing holiday
Lodges are comfortable, with everything you need. Hot tub is a real added bonus. Greats walks and loads of wild life
Lodges are lovely and well equipped. Location is beautiful and very peaceful. Located a few minutes from newton Stewart.
Absolutely fantastic well equipped with all you need. Far enough away but close enough for shops fuel etc. 10 minute drive and your away from everything.
Really nice wooden lodges with great living space. There's a hot tub outside and it's nice and cosy inside.
