I bought a PS5 controller from the Sports Direct in Swan centre. The salesman told me he would exchange it if it did not connect but, having gone back today, he told me I have to go to Game the lying fiend I came to the Shirley branch of Game and the chap with the long hair was lovely. He explained that they don’t usually exchange but still called his area manager and secured a credit note. Obviously, I’m not happy about fact that I did not get a refund I literally bought the product the day before but the fact that this gentleman went above and beyond was fantastic. Thank you
Big thanks to Samuel who took the time to trade in my Xbox One X the other day. I was aware it was a lengthy process, but Samuel answered all of my questions and we had some good chats about upcoming games, advice on a couple of issues and price cheeked numerous items for me. As a result, time flew by. Great service and happy with my items. I would recommend implementing a "tell us about your service" on the receipt like other places do, as I really wanted to write a glowing review, but settled for writing it on here instead.
I had to take back my sons son's headphones and although they did exchange them, I did feel they didn't trust me that they was broken and did everything to prove me wrong. Apart from exchanging products, when purchasing the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are cheaper for some things and the shop is always clean and tidy.
Just been in to store to collect a Cod preorder and was served by the guy with his arm in a sling. I just want to say thank you so much for fantastic customer service and for helping me out with the £2.99 that my other half didn't tell me I needed to pay!! True asset to the company. I will pay your kindness forward. Thanks again!
Nice staff. Store changes unwelcome, preferred it when it mainly games not games, games memorabilia and expensive energy drinks. Think the lock down reducing visitor numbers makes the store more pleasant as Saturdays crowds used to be unbearable. Used to be beaten by cex but as their prices seem to have increased they are about the same now. A welcome break.
As you maybe aware high street stores have been blighted by fears and threats of closures...which was Game's fate not so long ago... thankfully an initiative was made and Game is still a trader to the passers-by... This store has been the main supplier and contender in all aspects of console computer software, games and accessories...truly unique to be able to actually put your hands on something and take it to the counter, speak to the pleasant knowledgeable assistant, pay for the said items and be happy that you've contributed to the success of the high street, rather than boringly clicked a mouse, looked on a screen and silently transacted to a faceless automoinon..!
It is not as good as the old Game store in Mill Lane. I really don't like this store now, avoid if you are disabled. The last two times that I went there the sports direct staff had things all over the floor Infront of the elevator, so I had to be very careful I didn't trip and fall over. Today 2nd August 2022, the elevator isn't working so can't even get to the upper floor. Where the Game store is. Coventry store is a much better place to go. If disabled AVOID SOLIHULL GAME STORE!
Went in 4 times to sell a phone .. first time was for the quote and was told it was to late to do it in the day, that was fair enough was told to come back an hour before they shut so they have time to review the phone ... Did that and was told they couldn’t do it on that day, then my wife went back the 3rd time to be told it’s changed to two hours before closing! 4th time went at 11 am and was told they are not doing it on that day !! Think I’ll just sell it on eBay and probably get more for it just wanted a fast/ easy sale for it!! How wrong I was to think I’d get that at game! .. dont waste your time trying to sell your phone here they can’t seem to handle doing more than one thing at once!
Exorbitant prices for games. Their online store is much cheaper. And Amazon is even cheaper. The trade ins are rip offs. The only good thing is that you can insure your discs. The staff lack knowledge and can't even open ports on routers.
Not a bad shout to be honest. Found a reyt stash in the dumpster with my boyz but the worker saw us on the camera and took it off while calling authorities. We were simply enjoying a day of fun at this cool spot, what a shame it was ruined by this sad being.
