It is indeed a traditional fish bar. The furnitures and the ambience has been probably the same for years but don't judge before tasting the amazing fish! You can taste the freshness and the quality of the food served here! I would definitely come back, however, I have one thing to point out: they accept only cash so make sure to go prepared! And a feedback for the owners: it's about time to accept card payments ; otherwise you might lose more and more customers!
Fair price for cod &chip . one of those recent Chippies as you remember it. Just 2 guest , but 4 employees..waiter could have been more polite, sorry .food is great.wide rangeFood: 5/5
Entering The Fryer's Delight feels like stepping into a nostalgic time capsule, with well-maintained Formica tables that evoke a bygone era. Upon deciding to dine in, I took a seat and perused the simple yet appealing menu, ultimately selecting the Cod from the variety of fish options available. The service was prompt and efficient, enhancing the overall experience. I opted to complement my meal with a side of mushy peas and liberally doused the fish and chips in vinegar and salt, resulting in a flavorful and satisfying meal. Unlike a previous experience elsewhere, the peas were served with warm which I much prefer. I would certainly revisit The Fryer's Delight on another trip to London. It's worth noting that they accept cash only, but there is an ATM conveniently located on the corner.
Very good and authentic place suggested by locals for fish and chips. I was super happy about my choice and I had a great culinary experience. For sure not a fancy place but very typical and worth to try. Remember that’s cash only, pretty strange considering it’s LondonFood: 5/5
A nondescript looking store with earnest food and friendly service. Took the haddock based on the staff’s recommendation and a side of mushy peas. Very filling for 1 and many locals came for its takeaway, including the police for chips! Check it out if you are heading to the Charles Dickens Museum.
Probably, the Haddock fish and chips are fabulous as per UK's standards. As for me used to Vancouver 's Island Canada Fish and chips flavors, this one was tasteless. As I said, it is probably my taste. So even though I checked London Fish and Chip, I will not come back here. But if you like UK typical fish and chip, this place is probably for you. The pieces are huge.
possibly not the best fish & chips but very nostalgic and I like that. The tartar sauce hardly deserves the name, it's a shame that the shop owners don't make the sauce themselves. All in all, a bit carelessly prepared but as I already mentioned, I like the shop and that's why I would come back.
The fish is nice and crispy. The chips are nice and crispy. Fish and chips is £10.45 for dinning in. The fish cake is also quite nice. The decoration is in vintage style. *Not Accept Credit Card* *At least spending £10 for dinning in* *the chef keeps whistling which can be a little bit annoying*
A typical fish and chips outlet, offering fried cod, haddock, etc although the cod tastes more like hake. Colour of fish meat is not as white. The chips can be good. Great and thickly sliced potatoes are fried in typical English style. Best eaten with salt and vinegar.Food: 4/5
First time having fish and chips in London. It was good, but it wasn’t great. Tasted bland to me, but the batter was nice and light and crisp. Service was great, and it was very busy.Food: 4/5
