Forte Kitchen in Winchester offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and excellent service. I had the pleasure of trying their English breakfast, which included perfectly cooked smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, and other tasty sides. The dish was filling and satisfying, and each component was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive, and their knowledge of the menu added to the overall experience. I highly recommend Forte Kitchen to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast brunch spot in Winchester. The food, atmosphere, and service were all excep and made for a memorable dining experience.
We booked Forte Kitchen for our Wedding Reception in September, from our first visit we decided that this was the place for us! Agne who organises the private events was absolutely great from our first visit, replying quickly to our many emails and not blinking an eye when we turned up on the morning of the wedding with bags of decorations - nothing was too much to ask. The space itself is beautifully decorated with flowers and candles on every table - it has a lovely feel. We had a drinks reception with canapes leading into a buffet - the food was absolutely delicious and the staff working that evening were thorough and attentive throughout. We used both the White and Black rooms and were really pleased with them both - there was more than enough room for all of our guests 48 people to take a seat to eat as well as enough room for a dancefloor and mingling by the bar. If you are looking for a beautiful, classy but relaxed venue in Winchester you have to check out Fore Kitchen! We also booked to go for breakfast the next morning and 25 of us enjoyed a tasty breakfast together which was the perfect end to our wedding.
Lovely place. Plenty of seating. I opted for something different and had the North African Eggs, OMG! The best alternative breakfast I have ever had! My son and partner had pancakes and eggs royale, all well cooked and delicious. Highly recommend a visit! Kid-friendliness: Staff were great with my son, offered kids portions on drinks and food!
Sat out for breakfast on the morning of Remembrance Day listening to the choir sing in the cathedral. A lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by. The lamb flatbread was delicious!

Exactly what we were looking for. Off the high street. Chill vibes. Great food, coffee, and tea. Ticked all the boxes.
Good food. Bit pricey. Friendly servers. We were a party of 10 who hadn't booked, and arrived for breakfast at 9 am on a sunday. We anticipated not being able to sit together at the same table. We ended up sitting on 2 tables of 4 and a table of 2. The issue we had was that the table of 2 was behind a wall cutting us off from the rest of our party. Had the restaurant been full this would have been no problem, but there was only 1 other person in our section of the restaurant. There were a couple of reserved tables of two, and a reserved larger table, but apart from that all the tables were free. No one arrived during the time we were there and we left at 10.20. we asked several times if we could move the table of two or change to another table and absolutely no effort was made to accommodate us. In fact it felt like the more we asked the less chance there was of moving. We thought we were being polite and friendly, not demanding. It put a real dampener on our experience as we couldn't be with or talk to the rest of our party.
My favourite place for breakfast in Winchester. The sweetcorn fritters with two poached eggs together with bacon is my favourite breakfast. Love the coffee! The staff are friendly and the service very efficient. A well run establishment.Recommended dishesSweetcorn Fritters
Chanced across this hidden gem visiting the Christmas Market. Despite being very busy, they managed to squeeze us in for a spot of lunch. The food and service considering how busy they were was excellent, so I highly recommended. I had the ham, egg and chips the chips OMG were very good. My better half chose the mushroom and poached egg on sourdough toast which I'm assured as not a mushroom lover was also exceptional.
