Great experience! Corey was amazing during the viewing. He was early and extremely knowledgable about the two properties I viewed. There was just one thing that he needed to find out more information on and he emailed it through very quickly after the viewing. Exceptional service, I would highly recommend working with FleetMilne.
The owner Ms Fleetmilen is arrogant. She does not deal with complaints well at all. Tenant focus is NOT a concern of hers at all. If you complain she will direct you to the property ombudsman. Additionally the full view of the property is not given by her staff who are hungry to gain a commission from the rental. They did not tell me that there was a high cost network energy company in place. No one could change suppliers
Be very careful if you decide to rent from Fleetmilne. Firstly, I had an incident where they gave workmen keys to the property without my knowledge and they tried to enter while I was inside which was pretty scary and showed a real lack of care for their tenants. I ended up having to leave my tenancy early as I didn't feel safe. As others have said, they will take any opportunity to deduct ludicrous amounts £200+ from your deposit so be prepared to wait at least 4-6 weeks for your money back while you go through a totally unnecessary dispute process. It's been a complete waste of my time and energy and I really don't appreciate being gaslit over the condition the property was in, which was hardly perfect to begin with. There are plenty of other reputable agents in Birmingham that I've had far better experience renting from so take my advice and steer well clear of these lot!
Estate agents were great at responding to any queries you had in a prompt manner. However, they would only provide one key for the letter box and expected you to pay and get it yourself if there was more than one tenant. They expect the rental to be returned in the same condition at the start of the lease, which is not possible when lived in for a few years. They took an obscene amount of the deposit for 5 hours of professional cleaning for tiny things that would not require hiring cleaners. If you choose to rent from them, hire professional cleaners to ensure you get all of your deposit back.
Nicola and her team provide an extremely high quality service. We have been letting with FleetMilne for almost 3 years now and throughout that time I have received faultless service as a landlord. The team are very efficient, courteous and always go the extra mile to help where they can. Our tenants have equally had only good things to say about their experiences too. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Fleet Milne has been responsive and prompt with information since taking over as lettings agency for the property I rent in spring 2022. A concern about the fire alarm fault signal being triggered was followed up straight away. It’s reassuring to have a lettings agent rooted in Birmingham, with a depth of experience in the local market. When I managed to lock myself out, Nicola personally came to the rescue, coming in to the office late at night to lend me a spare set of keys. Fantastic service and demonstration of a duty of care to tenants.
We are surprised to see that there are quite a few negative reviews for this company, as it is not in line with our experience at all. We rented with Fleetmilne for almost three years and were very happy with everything. Replies were always prompt, issues were addressed very quickly, and everything went smooth with the handover and deposit. Even though the fees aren't low, we had a great service in return and so didn't mind. A special thanks to Becky, who was always there for us and got things sorted immediately!
My apartment block in Birmingham thats managed by FleetMilne is always looked after very well. From time to time when we need Nicola and her team I'm always impressed by the speed and efficiency they strive for. Not that I have too many problems but even the small things the FleetMilne team sort. I'm very impressed with their support its almost like staying in a 5 star hotel sometimes considering the level of service they offer.
After 6months we've finally got our deposit back. I originally thought I'd type out a long review warning people about fleetmilne and their picky habits on checkout but I've run out of energy. Simply put, clean your house very thoroughly and take lots and lots of photos. If your experience is anything like mine, expect to have to fight for your deposit as they will try and charge you for every tiny change to the property. Good luck, you're going to need it.
I'll add another awful review! Unfortunately I didn't see the reviews before renting the place. They tried to overcharge my flatmate and myself after leaving the place just because one radiator was dusty and the oven wasn't perfect which was the case when we entered the house as well. Also they tried to charge us for things they didn't do during our tenancy, such us mould removal. They kept £390 from our deposit, we said we are willing to pay £40 and the case went to DPS. The DPS decided we need to pay £80. It was clear FleetMilne was trying to overcharge us... Also they were very slow whenever we needed something from them. Finally there where constructions around our building that started April-May 2021 and didn't finish till October when we left the house, which they never told us when we decided to rent the place October 2020
