Story

Welcome to Flackley Ash, a cosy georgian country house hotel retreat, situated in the rural village of Peasmarsh, on the outskirts of the historic town of Rye. With 45 bedrooms, including garden suites and four poster rooms, an a la carte restaurant and health club with swimming pool and spa facilities. You can expect traditional Georgian character and service from a friendly and professional team. We have plenty of free parking.

The hotel is the perfect base for you to discover the charms of Rye, East Sussex; a town like no other. Rye is a medieval townscape with a fascinating history. Locked in time, Rye is the perfect location to relax and unwind as you wander the boutique shops that flank the cobbled streets. Alternatively, re-live childhood memories on the white sand beach of Camber Sands. Just four miles from Rye, the clear sea air is wonderful at any time of year.

Great hotel. Very nice rooms Lovely restaurant. ( fish and chips great value ) Good breakfast. ( Check breakfast menu as you have to pay extra for certain things like Egg Benedict ) Has gym, swimming pool, sauna, massage room and steam room. Lovely gardens and plenty of parking spaces. Close to Rye and Hastings

Lovely hotel Spa staff very friendly bit tired in places but over all clean and nice. Restaurants was very pleasant and wad plenty of room to park your car. Also had use of the gym and pool and sauna and steam room just what you want from a long day seeing the sights.

The staff were atentive and very friendly,the service was excellent. The food..... tasty and beautifully presented. The rooms we found to our surprise very large. Would stay there again without boubt. June and Raymond.

I've stayed here twice. First time was a lot better than 2nd time. We were upstairs in a spacious room and did not hear any corridor noise. 2nd time we were downstairs in the corridor that leads between pool and dining room so there was a constant stream of guests that weren't considerate of people staying in those rooms. The room was smaller and the bathroom was in need of a facelift. We had breakfast for 3 mornings. We had the vegetarian sausages. We had to always wait longer than other guests. On the last morning, we were given only 1 sausage each (as opposed to the 2 everyone else around us was getting), and we did not receive an apology or explanation as to why this was the case. The staff is absolutely wonderful and friendly.

You can hear people walking up and down the corridor but thatll be because its an older building naturally! the rooms are nice and clean and the beds are really comfy! Breakfast was lovely and you can choose what you want for a hot breakfast from the menu. Not a lot in the immediate area but in a nice location
