Three years ago, we bought a dining table and six chairs, but now, after three years, the leather covers of the chairs are torn. Although two years after we bought it, it got damaged over time and now it is completely rotten. The quality of the seat cover must be so awful that it rots so much within two or three years. I bought bed, two drawer night stand, dresser, mirror, and even a sideboard from this company. I had heard of this company, but it was nothing like what I had heard. More is expected from a company with many years of experience. All the items I bought have some kind of problem, but the quality of the dining table chairs is the worst.
Absolutely love Fishpools! They always have a beautiful range of furniture and ornaments for the house. They've recently decorated the whole shop with a Christmas theme! Definitely check it out!!
Nice quality furniture. Everything laid out nicely. Not really dedicated zones do you need to go around the whole shop. Wish I’d tried out the coffee shop too as it smelt lovely! Reasonable prices but not cheap. Lots of sales people around to help that don’t give you the ‘hard sell’. But, they don’t approach you even when you’re down on the floor trying to open up an extending table. You need to ask for help and they are all willing to answer questions. Found it little bit odd when ordering. Had to stand on the path way to give details and pay, maybe a suggestion to have a dedicated place to do this? Found it a bit unsafe giving out personal details with other customers hovering and in ear distance.
Bought a Dining Table with chairs for GBP 5000+. When I extend the table, one side leaves a gap of 3mm. The table looks very odd and the difference is noticeable. Spoke to Fishpools and they say that the manufacturer allows a 3mm difference when you extend it! This was never conveyed to me as their showroom table was perfect. Their reply: "The table is to specification. The manufacturer has a gap tolerance which allows the extending leaf to manoeuvre. This gap is within the tolerance and is not a fault."! Well, I have had tables all my life and not even once I have had a tolerence. Had this been discussed with me, I wouldn't have spent 5k on this set! They have washed their hands and asked me to refer to the Ombudsman which I will! Even the bottom part of the table stand which is not visible had 100's of marks, this too they say is normal! BEWARE! Make sure you ask all basic questions! I buy a new table, I need it in a Top class order! don't care if it is visible or not! Ombudsman and then courts?! Will update The guys who assembled the table were amazing! Only plus point! The sales guy are more empathetic than customer service lol! Sometimes when we read negative reviews, we ignore... I did the same.. please don't as negative reviews too are from genuine experiences!
We bought our gorgeous 8 seater oyster garden set in 2019 it didn’t come cheap but it was stunning and after reading it’s an all weather table that can stay outside all year round we bought it How ever the rattan under the glass on the table is all snapping off Fishpools was not really bothered we had to pay guardsman £50 to come and inspect the table He clearly said it was a manufacturing fault However he the retracted this statement and Fishpools said it’s sun damaged yes our all weather table lasted 3 years Please if you want to pay a lot of money for a table to last more than 3 years do not purchase from here we are now left with an even more damaged table as guardsman snapped more off to show us how thing they were we have cctv from the garden to prove this and text from guardsman saying it was a manufacturer fault So upset if only they would replace the table I really thought they would of being such a reputable company Shame on you Fishpools Could you please contact us Fishpools you Hevesy all our contact details we now have 21 splits under the glass I’m not of be and don’t know how to reply to on here But yes please contact us so you can replace this faulty table you have my husband’s telephone number and my email address Simon Fishpools can you please contact me your team have all our details This has now got even worse and it’s an accident waiting to happen now please do the decent thing I have 6 young grandchildren who spend a lot of time in our garden

Purchased a picture from fishpools to go in out newly fitted kitchen unfortunately the picture came off the wall and one of the fixings had come out the frame. Clearly faulty but fishpools are refusing to replace the picture as they are saying it was fitted incorrectly not only that they have lied to us on two occasions to which I have the emails. I have never received such poor customer service especially from a family run businesses of over 120 years absolutely disgusting.
I normally only write glowing reviews but I'm sorry to say this product and service has been awful!! I loved the shop when I went; it all seems beautiful and high end.. but honestly it's been an absolute shambles with quality & assembly!!! I paid for my product to be delivered and assembled, only to be left with a wobbly table, which the assembly guy said is due to the product & design...?! It was so wobbly, along with a screw falling out, and damaged / poorly done paint work on the base. I had to wait another week for a second delivery of a replacement...which has arrived with a poorly finished top the delivery guys agreed.. I was given no compensation for the first, and now this?! Honestly it's soo poor! Don't be fooled by the fancy shop and high end looking products & prices. What a disappointment and shambles.. I wonder what will be done about this now..
Fishpools is the most fantastic store. For personal reasons I had to cancel an order.Fishpools could easily have disputed the cancellation but they acted in an understanding and sympathetic way. What a store- you should visit if you get the opportunity. There range of furniture is unrivalled
This review is for the cafe within Fishpools. Awful baguette, definitely not freshly baked as stated. More like ready made off the shelf pre packed supermarket type. Bland and tasteless, not even crunchy or crisp. Served with the smallest portion of salad too. Better off not putting any salad. Overpriced for what it was.. Sorry but I had to just write this review as this is the second time. I've visited and thought I'd try their food again. Never again.
