For the price, I wasn't expecting too much. However, this holiday was extremely good value for money. We stayed in a Silver plus pet friendly static. It was roomy, well equipped and clean. Plenty to see and do in the local area. The site had a bar and a nice little pool. There was even a bowl set and bed for the dog, although it was a bit small for our greyhound it was a nice thoughtnWe had an issue with the toilet but reception swiftly sent out a lovely maintenance man to fix it. If you do have any issues, judging by our experience they really want to sort it out and make sure you have a great stay.nHooked@31 locally does amazing fish and chips as well as ice cream, but is only open on certain days.
Booked to stay over August Bank Holiday weekend with family. We were just planning on using Fishguard Holiday Park as a base while we visited St David's and enjoyed the Aberjazz festival.nnWe were let down by the pub we had booked for dinner they could not accommodate my daughter's nut allergy so we called the park and they bent over backwards to get our table of 10 in.nnI was blown away by the quality of the food and level of service, far above what I had expected. Brilliant evening with a live band that had us all dancing till late into the night.nKids had a great time in and out of the arcade and playing pool.nnIt was so good we changed our plans and went back on the Sunday night too!nnWould absolutely recommend the site, the club house especially.
A very nice small holiday park in beautiful Fishguard. We had never visited this area before and it's absolutely beautiful. A lovely welcome on arrival was nice and help was prompt, when I asked for it. We had the dog caravan and it was great for our needs. It even had a basket for small dogs, ours is too big, and food/water bowls and a blanket, a sweet touch.
Very small park, not much for kids really. Fishguard is a beautiful little village, however if you want entertainment and lots to do this place isn’t for you. The Co-op is a 5 minute walk away. There is an outside small, very small swimming pool. Wouldn’t say there’s an arcade.. more like 5/6 small machines for the kids to play on. We stayed in a dog friendly caravan which was very basic, beds extremely uncomfortable. Caravan smelt very damp, although clean. Best suited for an older couple with dogs that want a short stay away. They did provide a dog bed, blanket and 2 bowls which was a nice little touch. Something very annoying was the kettle, boiling it on the gas stove which took forever! In this day and age you expect an electric kettle. Also no option of Wi-Fi in bronze caravan, which isn’t good when you have teenagers! I won’t be returning unfortunately for the money you can get a much more luxurious caravan with a well known holiday company, where there is loads more to do.
We booked Fishguard holiday park as a family of four with our two dogs as its location is between cardigan and St davids, we were very much looking forward to a nice week away and exploring!nWe checked in at 4pm on the Monday and checked out at 11.30am on the Tuesday! The most horrendous holiday park I have ever been too, the arcades had 2 working machines the rest broken, the pool was tiny and filthy, the entertainment was well, questionable! 45 mins of short staffed staff jumping in and out of songs whilst serving etc a very unusual atmosphere. Always requesting cash on site instantly knew it was family run. The caravan we were given was absolutely filthy, I have never seen anything so disgusting in my life, utter filth! The smell was awful yes we were in a pet van and sometimes spic and span is not always the case but all I could smell was damp, musk, and urine. Mould everywhere, broken cooker, shower had no hot water it was absolutely freezing cold! The whole holiday was a disaster, we went to sleep annoyed on the Monday night, then at 11.30pm we were woken by lots of shouting and banging we looked outside too see fighting outside our van by a family and teens, girls screaming, swearing it woke our children up who are only 2&6 woke our dogs who started barking, our children were scared and crying! Then all of a sudden two police cars arrive 4 police officers. We all tried to go back to sleep, we decided on waking up enough was enough the whole holiday was a disaster, I went to reception to tell them I was leaving the filthy van and the police and fighting on a family site was awful. She claimed they had CCTV on site and seen nothing no one else complained just us. Not a single care in the world so I showed her all of my evidence of the fighting, police, the caravan and she went quiet. And said she will call head office to get my money back, so I headed back to the van to finish packing to then find being a family run site the receptionist told the family in the van that caused all of the trouble we had complained, they were pointing and staring at the van trying to be intimidating this is clearly a relation to the family who run the park this isn’t the first police case I have seen on the reviews! We have requested a full refund from this holiday park still waiting to hear back I have contacted head office and ho seasons to get this matter resolved!!!nPlease avoid this park at all costs! Don’t waste your money it is rough, unsafe, tired and run down! Absolute filth!!
