Five minutes drive from the ferry. Helpful hospitable hosts: Peter & Jacqui. Peter stayed up to book us in from a late ferry arrival. Excellent Full Welsh breakfast. Clean room had modern decor, comfortable bed and excellent shower room.
Friendly staff great service disregarding you are in the night or in the morning.nNice welcome, perfect breakfast, we only can recommend it.
Hello Peter and Jacqui . Had a wonderful stay at the ferry boat b&b. First off , Peter and Jacqui are excellent hosts. Very friendly, professional and welcoming. Around for a good chat if wanted or pulling a good disappearing act and leaving you to it if not.nOur room was the peacock room ,as we liked to call it. Spotless spotless spotless. Well done to the cleaning staff there. There is a common lounge area with TV and an honor bar system and of course you can always pick up a copy of jacqui's novel to read if you feel like shutting off from the world for a bit.nThe beds are real soft as are the pillows so for me , that room was perfect. Tea coffee etc in room also and a good powerful shower .nBreakfast we got full Welsh. It was cooked well and presented nicely on the plate. Can't beat a good old fry up in the morning.nTo sum it up we really enjoyed our time there. I think Peter and Jacqui just gave that extra bit of special and pride in what they do and transformed it from just a roof over your head, bed to sleep in B&B to an experience. Thank you guys. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Sorry to be writing this personal review of our recent stay here..nCheck in time isn't until 16.00hrs..nCheck out time following day 10.30hrs..nSo for £140 it's not alot of time to stay here..nRailway line very close , meaning train noise makes getting proper nights sleep not great..nIf you're booked onto a stenna ferry, no problem, 7mins walk or 1 min at most in the car to the terminal..nIf you want to go into town then it's a 30-40 min walk up hills into Fishguard itself ..n we took 40mins walking back..nAnd that's going mostly downhill...nnWe tried getting taxis and Uber, there just wasn't a bite for the pickup into town..nnUnfortunately the room had a very low window sill that meant privacy from property across the road from this business was impossible unless you pulled the blind down, making room dark..nRoom was very warm and no fan to air/ cool the room down.nThere were a few housekeeping issues that we reported to the owners..nThings that really shouldn't be there in my opinion if a room is cleaned properly..nBut the owners took this onboard as I explained things .nBreakfast was ok but not anything that made it any better or worse than other hospitality businesses that charge alot less per room per night..nRoom size was compact and bed mattress was too hard for us..nBut I guess you can't please everyone on that point..nnThe owners are genuinely very nice people and you can see they're doing their best to give a customer a good service , but @£140 per night, I believe the price tag doesn't reflect value for money in my personal experience of staying here..nnIf you want a b&b that's very close to town itself, and no train noise, then you will need too search a different b&b to stay in..
Hard to fault - immaculately kept accommodation and tasty breakfast all laid on with care and attention from the very engaged owners. Decent off road parking and WiFi. Handily placed for the ferry and the local area. Will stay again and recommended without reservation.
