A really nice looking fishery, i struggled a little finding my way to the lake I wanted to fish. It's very clear that the owners take great care in managing the wildlife and maintaining the surroundings. Lots of space around the lakes, lots of features to fish to. It fished hard today but I'll definitely be back.
Stayed for just 1 night as stopover on way to Scotland. The campsite is very neat and tidy and good shower block. Site in middle of fields and adjacent to fishing lake, peaceful. Owner very friendly. Would definitely stay again. Has EHU if needed. Good value as well.
A really good fishery the carp and cat lake is in a nice setting. The fish are in superb condition which is a credit to the owner very healthy and clean fish. I highly recommend this venue. One thing!! Who ever it is using 40lb mainline for cats should learn to fish pulled in a small 5lb cat with all the end tackle and 20feet of main line still attached also barbed hook. It's cruel.and the rig was something you'd expect to find in sea fishing I hope the owner starts to check gear to stop this happening.
On the website it states for the foreseeable future open 7am to 7pm when we arrived there were bivvys everywhere from the night before, so we had to fish a match lake with carp gear, one small carp pond was taken over by anglers with three rods covering several swims each, we were here about an hour and got swarmmed with ducks as you can see in the pictures, we will never return.

Great little campsite Chris the owner is very welcoming and always happy to help or just say hello This will become a regular site for us Can't comment on the fishing as I don't fish But friends who come with us who fish say it's great with 5 pools and a wide variety of fish Well done Chris keep up the good work
Stopped with campervan for a stopover on way to Dales, great place with easy access from M6. Showers were hot and powerful and the facilities very clean. We walked in to town where there is a very good selection of eateries......would use again if in area for a stopover
A great days fishing and I will definitely visit here again. The site contains a number of waters to choose from all with different features and species . I bagged a carp within 20 minutes of being there and was over the moon with the result. Toilets are on site which is an unexpected surprise and the whole site is clean and tidy. I was a little disappointed with fellow anglers who didn't have the decency to switch their bait alarms off when rerigging this resulted in a crescendo of delkims which became very annoying after a while. Overall this fisherie is fantastic and well worth the money.
Cycle toured and stayed for 4 nights, whilst roaming the local area. Hot shower and a working toilet. All very clean except when the odd feral youth fisherman can't use a toilet brush and Chris is great jovial chap. Lots of wildlife and bird song. All the "regular" caravaners were friendly. Only downside is if the wind is in the wrong direction you end up enjoying the chain smoking "regulars" early morning cigarettes before you've even gotten out of your sleeping bag. Repulsive. Otherwise. Fabulous.
Great little camping and caravanning club certificated site, pitches well spaced, flat and with electric hook ups, and with very good facilities block. Site adjoins the fishery which has five lakes, seemingly well stocked we did not fish. Owners friendly and keep the site clean and tidy
