We had another fantastic meal last night. The food was a little slow due to a large party ordering before us, but the waiter explained & apologised & made sure we had drinks during our short wait. The food was delicious, especially the homemade pies! The service was very friendly & attentive. We will be back again soon!
I took my family here for a meal as the reviews were great. I can confirm that the food was delicious and the service was very good. It's not cheap to eat here but you get quality tasty food when you pay more. Solid selection of alcoholic drinks all in all very impressed.
We stopped for lunch, what a treat. Absolutely beautiful interior including the toilets! the atmosphere was lovel too. We both had stake & ale pie with chips and some cheeky onion rings on the side. The food was absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive ,what a pleasure! We will be back.
Just off the motorway handy!nnNice enough hotel but not 5 stars:nnOur room was freezing cold windows opennRadiator in bathroom didn't worknOne of the bedside lights was brokennWe'd booked an 'extra large' bed and it was standard sizenNo milk in the room for tea had to ask for it.nWent to the pub area and was told kitchen closed no issue, didn't want to eat, but were asked to not sit in one area as they were setting up for breakfast this was at 9pm, when we asked for a drink of hot milk were told the machine had been switched off and they couldn't do it, when we asked if they had a car park the woman told us about parking on such and such street neglecting to mention the place has a car park.nnAll in all more like a pub B&B with fancier furnishings. Not really a hotel and not 5 star.
Fantastic hotel, love the decor and the staff were lovely. Beautiful garden and great cocktails. The room was lovely and clean, loved having a fridge. The room was very hot though so definitely needs air con.nnI would definitely stay again.
