Lovely place to stay. Good food, friendly people

Excellent stay. Everything was great particularly friendly, helpful and professional staff. Food was beautifully cooked with well sourced produce. Very eco friendly. A very distinctive and individual feel to this hotel but also warm, very comfortable and cosy at the same time. Very highly recommended.

Only okay for the price. The interior is richly decorated but the standards of the hotel are lower than it's appearance and cost would let you think. The bed had covers that didn't reach the top of the mattress instead of fitted sheets, the toilet didn't refill consistently, the restaurant (supposedly "chic") was pretentious but the cuisine was pedestrian and the bread was frozen. That being said the room was still comfortable, the staff was lovely, and we were offered tea and cake (delicious apple cake) on arrival.

Lovely place, very attentive staff. Lyme Regis minutes away and the famous west bay about 10 minutes away. Very quiet and tucked away.
