We had three rooms. Two which were i the main hotel were great size and light. My parents double room in the annex was small and got very hot. Otherwise everything was great - the touches like the range of tea and coffee, abundent towels and quality soap and shampoo, in the rooms were welcome. The breakfast was fantastic - huge range, good servings and super environment. All the staff were friendly and helptul. The location was superb- in the centre with easy access to the beach.
What a fabulous location and hotel. We were very late arriving and the bar staff were able to check us in, show me where the car park was and even gave us a recommendation for a great place to have dinner close by as the kitchen was closed at 9pm. The staff we amazing and helpful and the room was outstanding. Had everything we needed, looked fabulous and was extremely comfortable. The included breakfast the next morning was perhaps some of the best eggs florentine I’ve ever had! It didn’t end there with fabulous advice about how to get to our next destination and a really friendly chat before we took off again. Lyme Regis is a fabulous spot and Royal Lion was a great place to stay for us

Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he handled everything with a calm confidence that really sets the tone for the whole place.nnDawn brought such a friendly, welcoming energy every time I saw her. She has a natural way of making guests feel looked after, and her attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. Whether it was a quick question or a small request, she handled it with genuine care.nnAbby was equally brilliant — upbeat, attentive, and always ready with a smile. She added a lovely personal touch to the stay, and it’s clear she takes pride in making sure guests have a great experience.nnBetween the character of the building, the comfort of the rooms, and the standout service from Kent, Dawn, and Abby, The Royal Lion Hotel is the kind of place you look forward to returning to. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
Really enjoyed our stay at the royal lion hotel. Our room was recently renovated and clearly very different to the rest of the hotel. Beautiful view & great to have balcony. Breakfast was very good - great selection and I kept raving about my pastel de nata!
Relaxing, scenic location in the heart of town with fab breakfast and excellent staffnnWe booked a room at The Royal Lion on the day of our arrival in Lyme Regis. There were no car parking spaces when we arrived and the lovely girl on Reception did everything as quickly as possible to locate us one. The venue was excellent and at the bottom of the steep town centre high street minutes from the beach. Newly renovated room with tasteful decor, beach themed, delighted us on our arrival with bonus personal terrace and comfy chairs to sit outside. Breakfast was lovely with numerous hot choices and fresh fruit, cereal, juices and pastries to choose from on the buffet. Staff could not have been friendlier and consider this a perfect place to stay which added to our enjoyment on our first stay at Lyme Regis. Highly recommend
