There are a set of stairs up to the restaurant so it will be difficult with a pushchair or wheelchair to get in. When we visited the place was quite busy, you choose your own table and order from the counter, where you collect your drinks and food is brought to your table. There are some seats near the window for people watching, the large windows give the place a light area feel. The staff were quick at clearing the tables, which makes a change ! Other than the standard all day brunch fare there were some haywain style poke bowls on offer, the first time I've seen these in the UK, maybe the menu changes from time to time ? Also at the counter there are a selection of sweet treats that looked freshly baked. The food arrived quicker than the time taken for the drinks. The French toast I had was nicely presented and not too sweet, while the poke bowl was tasty too. The coffee was smooth but I would have liked it to be hotter, there is the extra charge for Soy milk (tax for being lactose intolerant !). Beside the drinks counter there was some water and free doggie treats, it seemed a pet friendly place, there was a cute dog inside. Toilets are unisex. I would return.

I am a regular customer here- I always buy a coffee on my way to school. E&G has never let me down in the beautiful quality of their coffee- I find it hard now to go anywhere else! I would highly recommend coming here- a fantastic place to work, catchup with friends, or just to relax on your own.

Outstanding. Literally the best croissant I have eaten in decades. Actually, one of the best prepared English style breakfasts I have ever eaten as well. Just across the street from the Bradley micro hotel. Popular with locals. Friendly staff.

Even though it was really busy, service was prompt and the food was of excellent standard. Great brunch menu. I'd recommend their smashed avocado and eggs as well as their french toast - both delicious. A tad expensive, but I guess the portion sizes make up for it! Cakes a little on the dry side but coffee is on point !
