The Exchange is one of Bristol's best small music venues. Compact, but with a great atmosphere and usually good sound balance. The bar area has recently been refurbished which now gives more room for the serving staff and the punters attempting to get served. Drinks prices are not excessive, especially when compared to some other venues, and the bar staff were friendly and efficient. The refurbishment also means the merchandise stand can now be placed out in the bar, making access to the performance area easier. Toilets are located upstairs via a narrow twisty staircase, which could be difficult for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Great place for a concert - if it's not too big of a concert, because the room with the stage really is tiny. Could also use some better air conditioning because it got very hot in there at one point. Other then that, a great little place to have a concert in.

Live music at its best, well mixed and balanced by expert sound engineers. Reasonable bar prices with caring and knowledgable staff. An easy trip up from Bath so can't wait for the next gig.
