NOTICE nEuropcar at Glasgow Airport is a complete scam! Just like other reviews have mentioned, they don’t protect consumers and won’t handle refunds properly.nnThe lady at the counter will secretly modify your contract, and a week after the transaction, you’ll find an extra charge of £210 on your account. The final receipt also contains numerous unexpected charges.nnEven though the final charge amount showed £0, they still deducted money.nnI originally booked a car with full insurance, and the order explicitly stated that no additional insurance or extra fees were required.nnDuring the process, she’ll casually chat with you to lower your guard, then claim to offer a free car upgrade. But all of this was a trap! She and another male staff member privately discussed and started modifying the contract without providing any explanations.nnThis kind of scamming behavior is truly shameful! I wish she and that male staff member don’t get hit by a car when they go out.nnIf I ever visit the UK again, the first thing I’ll do is hit them with the car .

What car renters nightmares are made of. We rented a car here in June for 5 days. They up sold us on some insurance and a larger car. Everything was going well until we returned the car. The man at the return center said there was a scratch on the car and we would be charged. No scratch was visible on the car and I have pictures and videos attached. He said if we agreed we need to sign which we told him we did not agree. He said someone would reach out if we did not agree. No one reached out. Fast forward 4 months and we get a letter in the mail from a British law firm stating we owe $1100 and if we do not pay it we will face more fees. Yikes! Not what vacation dreams are made of!

Surprised by the reviews!nI had a relatively hassle free pick up and return.nnThe only issue I had was that I didn't bring my physical credit card with me, but the manager came out and explained why they couldn't proceed without it. Said they'd process a refund, let me use a card I had with me and got me set up with a similar car for the exact same price. Will wait to see if they refunded the full amount so tbc.nnVery little faff! Drop off was easy, assessed the car there and then and didn't fuss about usage dirt!nnHowever, I did hear the other staff up selling the excess protection. Please buy this elsewhere - you get better cover for much much cheaper. I think my quote online was £75 with Europcar, but I got better cover with Cover4Rentals for £6.

I had a very smooth experience despite nearly being put off by the other reviews. The car they provided was great, the spec of the Audi A3 was premium, couldn’t tell it was a rental. Greatly enhanced my 10 days back in the UK.  For me I always budget in premium insurance, if you want hassle free and to avoid the ‘hidden costs’ that come with any rental company -  I’d suggest doing the same.

Rented Tesla Model 3 and experience was nice except for the return.nnTesla came with free supercharging and wasn't at all expensive to hire compared to other non-EVs. Also, it was premium black color instead of white. Vehicle was pretty new and nice except for some existing damages.nnNow coming to the bad experience, post return I got email with return statement which claimed new damages on the vehicle which was actually existing damage when we picked it up. Luckily we had taken photo and videos during pickup which the staff actually asked us to do during pickup. So we were able to provide the same to rebuttal the claim and was eventually dropped by Europcar.
