Lovely site in beautiful countryside, great walking , friendly fellow campers , pub just down the road, the only down side was that the toilets and showers were grim ! Fortunately I have on board facilities so wouldn’t put me off returning.
Yuk yuk yuk…. Stayed about an hour. Site ok but expensive to be on back of a playing field. However … toilet for men and women and Elsan full to overflowing floor sloshing. A surly steward not at all bothered but did ‘clean’ them when we complained because we were going out to take pictures before resuming drinks time. No apology no interest. We asked for refund … point blank refusal… that’s £48.00 down the pan - or it would be if not overflowing. Apparently there are other toilets ??? Who knew? but we weren’t told about these on arrival. Did get a text 10 minutes later… weird… Some basic customer service training needed. In short this is the most unhelpful unwelcoming unsanitary campsite we’ve ever been on. Probably worth £48.00 NOT to have to stay there. Update: absolutely no response to emails raising a complaint and requesting refund. Finally raised a dispute on the grounds the site did not fulfil their contract as described on their website and was refunded as a result.
Basic. The amenities are quite away from the parking/camping area. I will not stay again or recommend this site to others. The only positive is that within 1 mile walk you can sit outside or inside, the original Woolpack Inn, as used in Emmerdale. A bit if fun to take a photo and add it to your travelogue.
Beautiful park well cared for showers and toilets are very good. The new look clubhouse is stunning, very nicely decorated. Fantastic place to visit even if not camping. Do check opening times for the clubhouse before you set off
It's OK. Limited toilet and shower facilities as these are the sporting clubs changing rooms. Nice cricket and football club bar with friendly service. Lovely big soft grass flat pitches. Men, bring your own shaving mirror.
Loveky location and pitches are good. We stayed 3 nights with tent and electric hook up. Facilities on site are great showers and wc clean and tidy. Will come again.
The one star is for the area. It's peaceful too, however, I got rats in my camper whilst there and when the river flooded, I was given no warning by staff whatsoever, leaving me no time to move my caravan, which subsequently got flooded. And then basically got shrugged off. Won't go back again,
Lovely quiet caravan site just five minutes walk from the Emerdale pub. I've stayed on a few occasions and have always enjoyed my time here. The showers are really powerful and the pitches are nice and flat with PAYG electric hookup available. There's an on-site club which is open some evenings, and the canal is not far away for lovely evening walks. The village has a small post office which sells emerdale souvenirs and there's a lovely church with a beautiful churchyard to walk around. Lovely place with friendly people.
Spacious pitches, great price, nice little pub on site selling drinks and a few bar snacks.
Stunning surroundings in the heart of Esholt. Fantastic amenities and services, and brilliant clubhouse
