We just stayed over the weekend 19th August until Monday 22nd August The views are really nice Especially sun rise sun down. The site is small and at time we stayed there was no one on site to Meet us when we came in or on site to make sure rules was not broken etc but there was contact information for them. Location wise you are at the top so if you are a walker it is down hill to Otley etc the hill is a killer to walk back up with especially with 2 kids 9 and 10 yrs old buy it isn't that bad. There is an Aldi down one side near a Spar garage which had lots of reasonable priced food and gear you may need. Also the park which is in local area is a good size so even those currently nothing on site yet can be a cheap / free within walking distance for family. I would say grab a picnic or Bob into local aldi then head to park. The new owner had only just taken over the site but she has big plans for this little campsite. The camp site itself is a nice small site with 3 Lodge cabin style for Glampers, a nice 3 to 4 large big birth tents pitch in middle with access to power points If required then next bit has 4 to 6 spots for camper vans caravans And bottom part had space for more smaller tents and caravan / campervan . It has a wash station for cups plates Which also had a few bits in spare pegs a mallet wash clothes which was nice to have access too It has a toilet block which is currently having work done on it so works but will improve when roof is fixed so they can finalise them can't do that till roofs finish a drinking outside water tap for refilling bottles and cooking with. Male toilets have 3 cubicle toilets two urinals and one small shower cubicle, women's I don't know as I obviously didn't use it but I know they will most likely have same without urinals. 4 out of 5 I think once toilets, showers are finished properly and if they could fit some kind of Basic park maybe a swing a slide up in top corner I think it would be awesome Only other thing which Is out of sites control you are in the flight path for local airport but it honestly is not as bad as it sounds. We are planning to come back again next year will be nice to see how the owner has implemented her ideas
This is a lovely friendly campsite with stunning far reaching views, perfect if you like walking as you can easily access the walking trails on otley chevin. There's a pub over the road selling food and the towns of ilkley and otley are very close by and worth a visit. Facilities are clean and tidy and there is WiFi and we had good phone reception. My only issue was that pitches were a little on the small side but would definitely visit again
What a cracking campsite Really friendly owners Lovely and clean amazing walks all around. Loved it
Small family friendly site under new ownership. All facilities much improved since our last visit, with new hard standings planned. Can’t wait to visit next year and see what sally and the team have achieved.Rooms: 5/5
Like Lovely views, great for plane spotters. Toilets spotless, easy walk to a nice pub that does food. Dislikes, same as others really, main thing was no hardstanding, just earth which turns to mud, not good. Bins full and everything done by email. No one to ask. Probably won't stay again
This campsite is cheaper if you book direct and doing so includes free electric hookup. The views were quite nice. There was a pub although very expensive within walking distance. There was WiFi on site for free, drinking water tap, warm showers and toilet facilities.Location: 5/5
Pitches were very small and close to the neighbours meaning nowhere to park once pitched. Our van is only short so I pushed it as far back as possible and just managed to park sideways in front of it. No hard standing to walk on once caravan is pitched. Fortunately it had dried up but the surface had clearly been very muddy which would have been difficult. We were warned to bring "appropriate footwear". No sign of the owners throughout our stay. Confusing layout with a dead-end road meaning I had to reverse my caravan around a tight corner to allow me to get to my pitch. Barriers put up to prevent driving on the grass made reversing onto the pitch impossible. The removable barrier had to be taken down so I could position our van. To prevent this the owners should make the access tracks much wider.
This place leaves allot to be desired. Run down, dirty toilets, muddy pitches, no one around to help if you have a question, power outlets that look like they need a service. You're also directly below a flight take off path from Leeds Bradford...make sure you're not paying too much for this place
Stopped for 2 nights but quite muddy and hardstanding for motorhome wasn't so good either. Toilets were a bit run down aswell.plus roof was leaking with the heavy rain. Lovely views. Didn't see any staff pottering about either so if had a problem you are stuck.
Great little site with lovely views, under the airport flightpath but no issue as not many flights going over. Great toilet/shower block with plenty free hot water for the shower and a separate dish wash facility and dump station. Enjoyed my stay and will be back
