A beautiful, calm and creative space in the most yummy part of Bristol. We met many amazing people and my 8 year old daughter loved it. We shall visit again lots.
Dirty and horrible . Not a nice place to stay. Rats in showers , train spotting toilets , dirty kitchen with pots and pans often left unwashed by others , site is very muddy and unloved , neighbours complaining about loud music . Avoid
We stayed recently with our 1 1/2 year old daughter as needed somewhere affordable to stay a night whilst visiting family and thought camping would be fun. The campsite was in a great location very close to the city. The manager/owner was friendly. The actual site seemed like a little community and I'm sure there were some people who live their permanently. The site was very cluttered and we had to keep such a close eye on the little one because there was lots of things around for her to hurt herself on. The facilities are very basic. The spot that we were giving to pitch was extremely small, two other tents were less than 1 meter away from us. The main issue though was the noise, other campers were clearly there for partying and were playing music, drinking and talking loudly til past 2am, it's also next to a train line and the trains are very noisy. It seems like a good place for young students or festival goers, I wouldn't go there again as a family though.
We had a thoroughly lovely time camping here, although due to railway work being done overnight, it was a little hard to sleep. When this has finished it would be an ideal little city getaway I'm sure. The owner was friendly without being intrusive and the pub, cafe and farm round the corner are all charming. Lots of cute little piggers and goatees to say hello to and lots of trees and blackberries to eat. Spot on mate, spot on. Alice
Went there for a private party. A really brilliant venue for a party. Full of very interesting artefacts. Which is a massive bonus for someone like me. It has a bar that you stock yourself or as in our case every one brings booze, which gives it a house party feel. Split into three sections/'rooms'. Dance floor with DJ stage well little platform, but still, bar room with a massive variety of authentic period arm chairs and a chill out area with a very impressive 3 chambered wood burner wood supplied. There are also a number of arty/crafty workshops dottoted around the site. Great venue. Can't recommend it enough. Get on down and boogie, as KC might say
Me and 2 friends stayed in a cabin for Bristol carnival weekend and livlo it. Very cheap, casual, good facilities. Everyone so friendly. Very cute and eclectic. Home made "hot tub", pizza oven, solar shower etc. Free to roam the grounds, play with the chickens in the aviary, use the dining room to socialise, use cooking facilities and the fridge etc. Awesome location, very central would definitely recommend and stay again.
Absolutely horrendous. It’s a scary looking scrap heap! We was meant to stay here for one night and I refused to get out the van. There was no one around to speak to and it was awful. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here, it didn’t feel safe. I see someone has left a review about having a sauna, it sure does, with a toilet in the middle of it!!! The pictures on the website have been carefully angled and shot smartly. This site needs taking off any campsite offering places for people to stay. Thank you.
We had our wedding reception here and couldn't have asked for a better place to hold a party! The venue is so cool and the location is amazing, right in the centre of Bristol but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere! Thanks for letting us celebrate our big day here!
The camping is in a good position and Will is a nice person, but the place was not clean and the bathroom was not in sufficient condition either. We paid 10 pounds each person a night to set up the tent and for what it offers, it is too much.
Attended a party in the bunker room. I'm from Bristol and didn't even know this little gem was there! It's very idyllic you wouldn't know you were almost in the city centre. You have to pass the Ciry Farm and Eco build house's then head through a little tunnel to reach the campsite. I'd love to take my daughter on an adventure for a weekend here.
