"Located right in the heart of Bristol’s beautifully redeveloped dockland and linked by a convenient river ferry to the city centre, Baltic Wharf Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite is a waterside haven. Families will enjoy this site for its proximity to the Zoo and Downs Park; a cosy and safe place for young children to play and an ideal picnic spot. Keen cyclists will enjoy the excellent cycle paths which can be easily accessed from this site, including the Bristol to Bath path for the adventurous. This site is suitable for dogs with nearby areas for walking."

Small but very central camping site! Mostly adults only, kids playing outside is not encouraged. Easy to get to, and from the site, easy to walk to most of places in city centre. Small gate to the footpath leading onto marina is only minute walk away. From here you can easily get to SS Great Britain and other attractions. Shower block is not too big, a little bit dated but quite adequate and clean. Dish washing area not bad either as well as handy launderette. Staff were very friendly! Will definitely be coming back again!
This site is an oddity, in the middle of the city with the harbour just outside the back gate, what more do you need? Before you read on its worth noting they have been under threat of closure for ages but once again have been spared the chop until December 2023, but this I feel is meaning there is no investment. The site is functional, it's mostly gravel with little patches of grass which means they can squeeze in as many spaces as they can. The facilities are clean and functional but possibly a little small for the number of pitches, returning in the summer would be the tell tale on that though. And returning is where my personal issue lies, I don't think I will be, and not because of the site. There is a Clean Air Zone charge in Bristol, to get to this site, and for my Motorhome, 2002 and over 3.5t it's £100 each way! Bath, has exemptions for PHGV's but not Bristol. So, a nice site but, ££££
So pleased that this is going to stay open until mid-December. It's very welcoming, clean and friendly. A great location in the heart of Bristol. Good bus and boat links.Rooms: 5/5
We arrived at Baltic wharf campsite in Bristol Friday 13th January until the 15th . Firstly we had a problem finding the campsite as there were major road works to contend with secondly the site is poorly sign posted very small we drove past the site!!!! Not good .fortunately for us there was a gentleman in his van parked up on a side street who saw we were lost and he asked if we were looking for the campsite so he started giving directions then he kindly said follow me and he brought us around the city to the campsite . Not a good start . We have no problem with site it’s self good clean facilities the couple running the business very polite and helpful . Now the main reason I’m putting this review is its a clean air zone !!!! We have a motor home that we have been told we are going to be charged £200 for driving into the campsite and driving out of the campsite so 2 nights stay will have cost us shy of £280 disgusting . When I booked the stay with caravan and motor home club we were not told of the clean air zone so please if you are thinking of staying here go on the clean air zone Bristol city council and type in your registration number and see how much you will be charged . Hope this is of some use to fellow campers .
Andrew was very helpful on arrival. We stayed here over Easter it was a lovely Two night break.. facilities were great. The toilets an showers were spotless with heating which we were glad about as it was quite chilly.. Location was perfect. lovely pub next door .we had a lovely stoll into town and around the docklands We will definitely come back again..we'll done to Andrew and his team you are a credit to Baltic wharf..
Fabulous location and the best welcome from the wardens who are very relaxed. Yes it's noisy due to building works outside but go to the Cotswolds if you want a peaceful retreat not a city centre.
Excellent location on the wharf. Staff super helpful. Pity they're under the threat of closure as the bathrooms could do with am update. Highly recommendService: 5/5
A dinky little site in a perfect location: a short walk to the ss Great Britain; next door to a pub with great food; a lovely walk by the water to central Bristol or use the little ferries. Wonderfully friendly staff to meet and greet too. Restrooms: Clean and functional toilet block.
Fantastic camp site and facilities. Diane and Andy and really friendly and helpful. Thank you both. Stephen, Tina and Ralph FranksRooms: 5/5
Excellent site, excellent location. Friendly & helpful wardens. Great access to the river and town. Pub which serves food Cottage Inn very close to back entrance of site. Pity the site is closing in December. Let's hope permission is granted for the new site in Bristol shortly. Reason for 4 star rating is access to site is difficult due to various works outside the site entrance. The works seem to have been going on for ever. I think it has been 12 months or more. The works can be noisy at times. That said it is not that bad or I would not keep going back. Dog friendly...so is the Cottage Inn next door.
