So comfortable. The bed, the thoughtful touches tea, milk, biscuits. We stayed in the family room and it was perfect for us traveling with our kiddo, could have fit another person/kid or two. Hosts were friendly, I love that they’re nearby on the property. Location is just close enough we walked 20 min into town for dinner. I recommend and would come again.
We had a nice stay here for two nights. It’s a 20 minute walk from the gueat house to Oban centre, although we were able to park our car in town in the evening. Quiet location, good breakfast, nice hosts.
Just spent the week here and was very impressed. From the initial welcome to the final breakfast we were made very welcome. The room was small but more than adequate for our needs. The bed was very comfortable and the down duvet provided a very good sleep even in the heat . The ensuite was particularly good and the shower absolutely amazing. I can't recommend this accommodation enough and would definitely visit again
Another amazing stay at Elderslie Guest House, there is no other place I'd want to stay at in Oban as the owners are so lovely and go above and beyond to make the stay even more lovely, beds are super comfy, everything you need, breakfast is a continental and is very tasty fresh fruit always! Friendly and relaxed atmosphere with lovely comfortable room. A wonderful view from room 4. Beautiful garden to sit and unwind in . Lorna and Patrick were perfect hosts and both went out of their way to make our visit very enjoyable. Excellent breakfast plus the added benefit of a packed breakfast when we were away to early . We would highly recommend the Elderslie to anyone planning a stay in Oban. Look forward to next visit..
Clean and well presented, and a very friendly, pleasant couple. There was bottled milk in an over-night chill-bag for morning tea - nice touch, and despite being close to a main road, was very quiet. The place was clean and tidy. For me, the 4ft/4ft6" Double bed was far too small I'm 6'1", 16st, so a struggle for me and my wife to sleep well, but great proper pillows, none of this modern foam pieces rubbish. Some minor suggestions to improve:- Some hooks on bathrm door, and a ledge in the shower unit to put shampoo etc on. Oh, and no full breakfast on offer, and my 'soft-boiled' eggs were hard. 3.5 out of 5.
First thing first, fantastic hosts. Made us feel at home. We were in a group of 8 i.e. two families with 4 children. Very understanding and co-operative. Nice location, just outside Oban I think. Nice - clean rooms. I would definitely recommend "Elderslie Guest House".
Value for money and nice location but parking is rather awkward. Entrance at bottom of steps. House is shared by owners and their family. Continental breakfast so don't expect a traditional Scottish one here. Also, just be careful if booking a family room as ours was not what we booked.
Just spent the night at this lovely guesthouse. The room was clean and cosy. We had a triple room as we had our 10 year old son with us. He had his own separate room with his.own TV which was really good. The hosts were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was outstanding!. Would certainly visit here again.
I would highly recommend the Elderslie Guest House and have done so in the past with people whom I know. The hosts Lorna and Pat are not only friendly they are two very nice people and go out of their way to make the guests feel at welcome. Their guest house is very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The garden is well looked after and is pleasant to in sit in on summer evenings. This summer was my second visit to the Elderslie and I will certainly use it again. What are you waiting for - give Lorna and Pat a call or email.
