"Edmundo Lounge sits on a fine, historic corner site just off the market square in the centre of Bury St. Edmunds. We’ve plenty of comfy chairs, William Morris wallpaper and tassel-y lampshades across our two floors, with little rooms, nooks and crannies – perfect for finding a little place of your own. There’s a fantastic range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus served in a really warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is generally good. The restaurant has a pleasant vibe. The staff are nice. Our most recent visit we ordered burgers which were pretty good, bang bang chicken noodles which is my favourite dish here and sausage/chips/beans for our children. I had a side of spinach which seemed like it had been cooked in the sun or something, it was just completely dry and flaky not sure what they had done with it. I do have an issue with our latest visit, as my son who's 7yrs old was served his meal 15 minutes before the rest of us. We were only told this would be the case when they had brought his plate out. I queried the reason and the server said it had always been that way to serve children quickly so that they aren't waiting but it's never happened on any of our previous visits. I've heard of this practice but my son is 7yrs old, not a baby and at the same time they didn't do that for my daughter who is 9yrs old. It just seems very silly as he was completely finished in 15 minutes and then was left waiting anyway for all of us to finish so we kind of ended up rushing our meal and it defeated the entire point of having a family meal out together. We weren't having the food due to necessity, it was for a nice time. If it was urgency we would have simply grabbed a sandwich somewhere. So I wish the restaurant would address this and query individual customers at the time of taking an order, if they require this practice to occur.
My absolute favourite place to go to eat and drink! I go here for breakfast most weekends because I just love their food! I also go there for dinner and drinks too! Highly recommend especially if you can’t decide what you want to eat they have such a big selection of Options
I had a good night out...food wise...what i had was good. Was a bit disappointed that the tapas no longer comes with ciabatta but to be expected in these times with squeezes being made. Update: went again yesterday. Food was very salty ate it all but shan't be retuning in a hurry
Great experience, very mellow and chilled. Food arrived quickly no problems with altering the meal or that we had two people with allergies. Very laid back and inclusive Vegetarian options: Good range options for every section Dietary restrictions: Really great for this, they put a little flag in to signify that the food has been checked.
Lots of options. Most of staff were friendly and helpful. It was quite busy so we ordered with the app drinks came after 20 minutes and food took around 40 minutes to arrive despite the wait the food was enjoyable and good value.
This was our first visit to Edmundo’s. Lovely atmosphere. Went to order the food and the girl repeated back exactly what I said. Got the food & got beans with my sons meal even though I said no beans and salad instead. The kids burger was laughable and even my 7 year old laughed at how small it was! He eats burgers out all the time and this was the most ridiculous. Instead of the requested chipotle mayo for both myself and husband we got bbq sauce. All in all it wasn’t a perfect experience but my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our buttermilk fried chicken and the ambiance of the place.
Wonderful restaurant; the only criticism would be the pitchers of cocktails are full of Ice! ... I spent 24 pounds on a big load of ICE and just 3 glasses of cocktail! Otherwise the food is very good the staff are helpful and the atmosphere is very happy, busy and cosmopolitan.
This place was incredible, the service was exceptional, very kind friendly helpful staff who made me and my Parsons Terrier feel so very welcome. Extremely dog friendly, Bobby Greenmile was given a sausage by the lovely chef and the next night we returned, Bobby Greenmile was brought out a sausage on a plate with a little flag. Bobby Greenmile was relaxed happy which made my evening meals so much more relaxed. All the food I ordered was delicious, never realised I could eat so much. Very reasonably priced, quick service and the cocktails are to die for. Really enjoyed my two visits there and would 100% recommend and return. Bobby Greenmile has a Facebook page where he can be seen on a live video enjoying himself and interacting with the waitresses .
Loved my visit here, food was delicious, service was fast and friendly. There was a great choice of different meals and a huge choice of drinks! I tired the watermelon iced tea and it was delicious! The building is beautiful and the decor is awesome. Very relaxed. I totally recommend and will be going again. They also have a separate completely vegan menu which was a nice touch.
Nice atmosphere, courteous staff but food and drinks left a lot to be desired... Wine was mediocre. Ordered steak frites - steak was small, unseasoned and overcooked. Ordered medium rare and got well done. Salad was tiny and soggy. Had to add half a shaker of salt to steak and to the chips.Food: 2/5
