This is a little gem! We were greeted by lovely staff who literally couldn't do enough to make our visit special. The food was amazing! We both had the Cheese Salad and it was simply delicious. Thank you for a lovely experience xx
The food is made to an excellent standard. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Warm atmosphere with a cosy feel.Food: 5/5
Inside the restaurant there is a strong smell of kitchen food, smoke and oil. Upstairs clear signs of smoke than comes from the restaurant kitchen. in the picture it's not the sun shining, just the smoke trying to run out of the room No, thank you!
Thought we'd give this a try. A nice light bite establishment. The food was well presented. We both had panini's, nothing crazy. Hot drinks were nice too. Felt like we were possibly the youngest customers there lol Only bug bear was the condensation on the walls upstairs. I get that it's cold and steam/eat rises, however the grease dripping down the walls was a bit of a shocker #moreventilation #fanupstairstosuckoutthemoisture Dietary restrictions: Daughter altered her order and the accomplished this perfectly.
Absolutely lovely little cafe/restaurant. The staff were extremely attentive, food came quickly and for the price the quality was astounding. Local food with a great taste and on a quiet street near to the clock tour. Generous portions for a generous price.
It was pitiful.... Waited ages for service wasn't busy when we got there Server didn't know the menu at all so had to keep repeating everything, then he kept returning to ask questions about our order. On 3 different occasions was approached by different staff to ask if this was our order of food we were upstairs ... 3 times it wasn't! When our order eventually arrived well over half hour wait for filled baguettes it didn't look appealing at all with stuff missing, like the garnish and relish. Will not return in a hurry.
Great food at decent price. Always our go to place when wanting a nice cooked breakfast but have also had jacket potatoes with a variety of fillings Friendly staff and have never been disappointed
Not terrible but could be better. Most staff are friendly but there's a couple that could be a lot friendlier and they just look away when you try and make eye contact with them. Food is nice and the salads are freshly made but the prices could be a bit more competitive.
First impressions not good. Very damp inside, poorly ventilated with walls running with condensation. Not overly busy but tables still full of uncleared plates. Sat upstairs. Waited 5 minutes and then asked for a menu as this was not offered despite the very young waiter passing our table several times. To his credit he did wipe our table and give us menus saying he would be back to take our order. So we waited...and waited...and waited...Tables around us were served full.meals and finished. Still we waited. After 15 minutes we got up and left. As we were leaving, I saw another young waiter propped up by the till and just said that were leaving due to not being served in the time we had waited. All we got was a grunted " Sorry". We will not be back. Very disappointing.
A very nice and cozy restaurant to have breakfast. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Food arrived without much of a delay. Everything was tasty and we really enjoyed the Breakfast. Make sure you get a seat by the window to get the best dining experience. I recommend The Suffolk Carver. Thanks.
