I’ve been trying to contact Edmonton county court for 2 days via telephone to make a general enquiry. Totally shambolic. The pre recorded message says that they exercise zero tolerance to abuse. How do they expect happy customers when they run a terrible service like this. Their average google star rating is 1 star and I think that is very generous considering. Mr government go and ask Mr Amazon how you run a good organisation. Amazon is probably a million times bigger than “gov.uk” but the difference is that Amazon always maintain 100% customer satisfaction
The Court Manager BETWEEN: Sue Joy and Stuart Jones Acting as Joint Receivers v Persons Unknown L00ED258 Subject: Notice and Demand for Administrative Review and Judicial Redress: Misclassification of Occupants and Other Grievances Dear Court Manager, This notice is submitted with a request for an urgent administrative review and judicial intervention concerning a series of unauthorized and potentially illegal actions by Savills PLC and Topaz Finance Ltd t/a Jasper Mortgages against myself and other lawful occupants of the house. These actions have not only caused undue distress but have also fundamentally infringed upon our lawful rights. I. Overview of Issues The core issues necessitating the court’s immediate attention and action are as follows: Misclassification of Lawful Occupants as Trespassers: Savills PLC and its agents have wrongfully classified myself and occupiers as trespassers, in a blatant attempt to circumvent the legal protections afforded to us. This misclassification is being used to justify eviction threats and actions without adherence to the due legal process, in stark violation of established legal principles as seen in Kay v. Lambeth London Borough Council [2006] UKHL 10. Delivery of Falsified Documents Through the Postal Service: Documentation related to these claims, delivered via the post office, has been identified as falsified and inauthentic, raising significant legal concerns under the Fraud Act 2006, Section 2, and implicating potential violations under the Postal Services Act 2000. This matter echoes the gravity seen in R v. Goldsmith [2002] 1 WLR 1674. Unlawful Eviction Threats Without Proper Notice: The threats and actions of eviction undertaken by the said parties have not complied with the statutory requirement for serving notice, nor have they considered the requisite risk assessments for vulnerable individuals within the household, contravening the Protection from Eviction and Harassment Act 1977. Invalid Receiver Appointment: The appointment document for the receiver lacks a named individual’s signature, questioning the legality of such an appointment and undermining the document's validity. The legal requirements for clear, authenticated consent, as highlighted in Briggs v. Gleeds [2014] EWHC 1178 Ch, have not been met. II. Request for Court’s Immediate Action Given the critical nature of these issues, I humbly request the court to: Conduct a Comprehensive Administrative Review: Specifically addressing the misclassification of lawful occupants as trespassers and other related grievances, ensuring a fair examination of the legalities involved. Issue Immediate Directives for Compliance: To cease all eviction-related actions and threats, correct the misclassification issue, and mandate the provision of legitimately executed and authenticated documents related to the receiver’s appointment and claims against us. Facilitate a Resolution Process: Through mediation or a judicial hearing, aimed at addressing and rectifying the grievances while ensuring the protection and upholdment of our legal rights. III. Conclusion The severity of the misclassification as trespassers, combined with the other outlined grievances, warrants the court’s urgent and decisive intervention. My family and I seek the court’s support in rectifying these injustices and restoring our rights and dignity as lawful occupants. I am willing to provide further details or documentation as required by the court and am committed to fully cooperating with the court’s review and proceedings in this matter. I appreciate your prompt attention to this serious request and look forward to the court’s guidance and assistance in resolving these issues. Worse I have seen, no waiting areas for people, And I booked for an appointment on the phone then attended my appointment, after waiting for few hours they told me my nmane isn’t on schedule and need to rebook for another day, then booked me at 8:30 but courts open at 9am but I managed to attend courts at 9 then told me my appointment was due for mid day, Such bad service
The bailiffs take your money. They don't carry out the job. They don't return emails or phone calls. No wonder the bad star ratings. I've lost enough money from a tiler and losing more paying out to fraudulent bailiffs. It's ironic.
Totally useless. Rude and inept staff who knew nothing about the court whatsoever and couldn't answer the simplest of questions when I attended for a hearing that the debtor failed to turn up to. Emails are never responded to. No point in us taxpayers paying for their phone line as they never answer calls. I was given a form by the woman on reception and told I couldn't use a chair visible from where I was standing to fill it out and had to kneel on the dirty floor to do so. I was then told I'd been given the wrong form so she gave me another and she then said I didn't need to fill out a form at all! My case has been ongoing for six years you read correctly, six years! at this court with a judge Cohen really dragging his heels and not responding within the time limit he should have. Later in my case after many private company bailiff calls that the debtor wouldn't answer her door to, they said I could deliver the order myself or pay £113.50 for the court to proceed. I paid the £113.50. They are supposed to respond to claimants with 39 working days max.. I was told by a letter dated 53 working days later that I'd have to deliver the order myself and they wouldn't deliver the paper. Had they have let me know this earlier, I could have delivered the paper to the debtor as she had only moved 10 days before I received the letter from the court saying they would not deliver the order. So they have stolen that £113.50 from me. Quick enough to ask for money, don't deliver when you have paid them and then refuse to reimburse you. Basically paid them to do absolutely nothing. Theft. I have read in the Google reviews that they have done a similar thing to another person. Because they've taken so long and responded over the time periods they should have, I am the best part of £2000 out of pocket due to their incompetence with no chance of getting my money back as the debtor's new address is untraceable. They make a mockery of the word justice. If you are unfortunate enough to be allocated this court, request from the start for your case to be transferred to another court - you have been warned!
I had a very pleasant experience here today. The security officer lady at the entrance not friendly at all but does her job well. There were two lovely ushers upstairs. A pleasant young man and a lovely older lady with glasses. I was very lucky with the judge. He is a young judge who is fair and very cooperative.
My experience with this Court since my attending it since 1982 has been positive. I have found the staff to be generally helpful and many times go the extra mile to help. I have seen staff and Court official suffer abusive behaviour and veiled threats. Many times, Court users have been upset, distressed and/or frustrated, because they may need staff to give advice or carry out requests that are beyond their remit. It was clear to me on those occasions that I had witnessed that this was because the Court user was unable to get legal advice. On the occasions when I had issues with the Court, I brought the matter up with the Court and it was resolved. Sometimes there were delays, but this was because the Court is understaffed, and they cannot cope with the volume of work as this Court has a big catchment area.
Waste of over an hour. Poor service to stress you out more
Never answer their phone, never respond to emails, I even visited in person to make a request for some info about a hearing and was told to fill a form and put it into a box so 1980’s. Suffice to say, they never contacted me even after I did that.
On becoming concerned at delays in a case, I visited the court in person and asked for the above to be brought to the attention of a judge. I was contacted a couple of days later with a hearing date and following the hearing the court were very speedy in processing the paperwork. The service on that occasion was excellent.
